While I've played dozens, if not hundreds, of FPSs over the past 17 or so years--some great, some classic, most not so much--I have to say nothing will ever top the thrill I felt playing the original Wolfenstein 3D. And in that game, the most pants-crapping moment that I can still re-live in my mind just like it was yesterday is when you finally make your way to the end of Episode 3 ( "Die, Führer, Die!" ) and meet.......

My first real experience with FPS was playing Heretic. Forget the blocky creatures, the most unnerving aspect of this game was their excellent use of stereo sound. There were times while playing I would turn my head thinking the sound was actually coming from somewhere other than my computer speakers... always felt a little unnerved after a session of Heretic...

Great to see Uncharted and Borderlands especially doing so well. Both games deserve the sales. Surprised that the Ps3 Version of Borderlands is nowhere to be found though. Is it because there are two great recent exclusives on the console? (Uncharted and Ratchet.)

For a gimmicky, untested peripheral that most likely none of the AAA-developers will bother supporting, I'd say $50 is the right price point.

I just grabbed Crysis here recently off Steam because of the discount.
I might be a few years behind, but damn that game looks good!
But the thing is, the game looks so good that even years later it still looks better than most other games.
It requires a lot of hardware to run it yes, but the game has something most don't, LONGEVITY.
