Nevermind... found it. I just upgraded my 700p from 1.8 to 1.10... man that was a mistake nothing but trouble since... as they say don't fix what ain't broke! Anyway I thought the memo software that was on my old version was already there... now I have none. Any suggestions on a simple free memo app? Thanks

I didnt switch to any particular network. Just pulled my sim card out when the phone was on. But i dont know if the dropouts started after that, but i cant remember doing anything else to my phone which worked perfectly for about 18 months beafore that with all the same settings and sim card.

Thanks for the tip about the cradle contacts. I cleaned mine with some compressed air and a cotton swab dipped in rubbing alchohol. Works like a charm again. I'm a long-time MindSpring / Palm / Treo user. No complaints here...

Also incidentally i wanted to ask, Is something like this possible if you forget to switch off the phone before pulling out the sim card tray ? I think i did that once by mistake while trying to clean the unit. Can that cause permanant damage to the treo ?
