With a 4agte and 5sp they're pretty quick and more than a little scary. I've never really seen the appeal but they can be made to go pretty quick in a straight line and they weigh nothing.

Nice idea for a thread! I am in 2 minds as to whether I like this pic or not - my tripod actually broke mid-photo shoot which is why the pic in my sig is straight and this one isn't, but I thought the angle worked OK anyway (I hate angled car pics!) and I do like this one better than the uncropped version of my sig pic. Apologies for the size.

My old e36 318i! I still love that car. It handled on rails, looked great and it was teh right balance of rawness and comfort. I have a soft spot for the e36, but after driving the e46, I don't think I could take a step back in terms of comfort for day-to-day driving, but would look at maybe something as a track/weekend toy!
