With a 4agte and 5sp they're pretty quick and more than a little scary.
I've never really seen the appeal but they can be made to go pretty quick in a straight line and they weigh nothing.

I have a few Audi parts that are taking up room in my apartment. I'd be very interested to meet and swap or sell parts. Not sure exactly where Hornsby is but I'm in Sydney and I'm sure I can get there.

Nice idea for a thread! I am in 2 minds as to whether I like this pic or not - my tripod actually broke mid- photo shoot which is why the pic in my sig is straight and this one isn't, but I thought the angle worked OK anyway (I hate angled car pics!) and I do like this one better than the uncropped version of my sig pic. Apologies for the size.

Slight change in time!
Meet point: Goolwa Wharf car park (left side of road just round the corner from the main street). Contact me on 0412 222 410 if you have any trouble locating it. Last time we did this it was a good clean run down there, if early haha, but also an interesting drive back into Adelaide. If the date is too soon, the only other I have available is the 20th ...

I forgot to add, that my brother in law has offered to help me and he is mechanically/technically able and has experience with the older BMW's + friends who can help out with fabrication, etc. so at least that region is covered to an extent.

My old e36 318i! I still love that car. It handled on rails, looked great and it was teh right balance of rawness and comfort. I have a soft spot for the e36, but after driving the e46, I don't think I could take a step back in terms of comfort for day-to-day driving, but would look at maybe something as a track/weekend toy!

I cant remember it being hard when I did it on the M3. That said, You'll find it so much easier to pull engine and gearbox together.

Yep Micheal, I usually catch a couple of stages as it winds through my neck of the woods. I'll have camera in hand this year no doubt. I'll keep an eye out for you.
Mind you, I'd rather be in it, than watching it. :P

I think there was a rule put up or something? i dont know. But anyway that
thing has been for sale many times before. Bit pricey for a pretty standard
M535i with some alpina bits on it. I'd prefer the black one thats for sale
