But the point here is that the restaurant should be told that they have to change the wording. Most people here are getting hung up on the fact that a tip is voluntary and that the restaurant is trying to look good by saying its a tip. __________________

if the constitution is antiquated, then we need to revise it. You know how we do that? Amendments. it's how they used to do it, anyway. i guess nowadays it's better to just do what we want regardless of what our government charter says. Whatever feels good at the time.

Just an update.
When I spoke to the retentions specialist last time, he told me that in 9 months when my promotional offer runs out, to just call back and talk to his department again and they'd fix me up with something more long term.
Well, just a few days before the 9 months was up, I got a notice saying that they were changing the terms of my card to 29.99%!
