If your using the ShockRifle code then make sure your animation names match those that the ShockRifle uses. I.e
Pickup
Idle
Fire
AltFire
PutDown
And double check that you correctly linked the animation file to the mesh file in the animation browser.

that is how the game is played. i played the game from release untill 11/10/09. and have played it only one time since. because of what you are experiencing. i most likely will never play gears 2 online again, because the community is full of assholes and the best tactic in the game is roll in and 2piece all enemies in sight. i almost forgot the best thing about the game THE LAG i cant handle it ...

Knock down smokes = gigantic hell no. I would sacrifice everything under the sun in terms of this game in order to keep the ragdoll smoke out of it.
That being said, I'm all for 4v4, though I'm not sure sure what you're getting at with the "competitive" side of things here...what do original smokes, mlg settings, 4v4, and the fact that people watched on MLG have to do with the competitive ...

Maybe Gorgon and Mortar? I dunno, but the Lancer is your only chance in hell in a laggy match. Which is almost every match, so its maybe the MOST useful.

All Fronts is the 7 maps from Dark Corners and the 4 from Snowblind and the 3 from Combustible and the 5 from Flashback.
Dark Corners is just the 7. Oh and the deleted scene, but they both have that.
If you play a lot of multiplayer and you haven't got Snowblind or Combustible or Flashback buy All Fronts.

bad new friend, there is no mac version. and as such, it is unlikely that a macbook would run this game. perhaps a pro with a 9600m, but i would not bet any money on it playing as nice as it would on a tower. assuming that you had a way to run it in mac os (which is possible, but not as easy as actually having a mac version of this game.)
hope you come up with a solution...

Afaik, UT3 does not run in DX10 mode. So not sure what you are talking about.
Regarding destructible terrain, well, if you've played the game you will already know it has not been fulfilled (don't remember it being promised...).
