Currently, BIPV's are less efficient. The most promising are the roof shingles. There is hope that organic dyes and titanium oxide flakes would make a paintable BIPV.

I think it's incredibly ironic that Bob Carter would write an essay entitled "The Science of Deceit" when he himself has lied about what little climate science research he has done. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;… Not like it's new for "skeptics" to be hypocritical. He's also full of crap. Just look at the list provided by eric, which he apparently agrees with. Almost...

Is it true that Darfur was once a fertile enough region to support the number of people presently there, and that global warming changed that? Or was it always a hardscrabble existence for a small number of people that became a refugee-filled hell-hole in the center of ethnic and religious violence? http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200704/da… http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/369234… http://www.espac.org/darfur/extremist-ro…

Turn the Heat into Mechanical Energy, eg Solar thermal power plants which have been proven to be cheaper per kw than nuclear. Also they can be half price if used as an upgrade to existing natural gas, coal, or oil power plants (the generator being half price). Electrolysis for hydrogen, and voila a carbon free future at half price with all the awesomeness of never having to drill kill and gut the environment. Luckly the Sun has dimmed as if...

I don't think China Syndrome scared people nearly as much as Chernobyl and Three Mile Island did. After Chernobyl, the first step in re-growing nuclear energy is finding a community willing to have a plant nearby. There is growing support for nuclear power in theory, but there is no organizations of mothers in any city in America lobbying to have a plant nearby. Environmentalists are split on nuclear power, some are proponents because...

It allows people to set their clocks before they go to sleep. It has to be more than 1 hour away from midnight so there is no confusion as to which day it is, you won't go back to the previous day, which is helpful for logs and computers. Correction, it has nothing to do with farmers, their days start and end with the sun not a clock. It was to save energy to help with the war efforts.

I think the most interesting aspect of this essay is the argument concerning the "null hypothesis" which Carter states should be "the climate change observed today is natural unless and until evidence accrues otherwise". Your thoughts? http://www.quadrant.org.au/blogs/doomed-…

Global warming is a term set forth by people with a One World Order/Communist agenda.
It gives the/a gov. the authority to tell you:
-what to drive
-what temp you should keep your house
-how many times a day to flush
-how much money your more industrious/wealthy country should give to poorer nations (global welfare)
-on and on and on
It's genius really. ...

It's called the media and green movement. It's old news.
It's hard to be concerned with global warming when your bills have gone up because the companies decided to go green (without asking you first), your grocery costs have nearly doubled thanks to the green movement, etc.
Plus honestly I think people are starting to question the reports. It's frustrating when you hear about global ...

Trust the experts. They're far greater authorities than random blogs, mainstream media outlets, and for the most part, Yahoo Answerers.

Well personally I believe that everyone is making way too big a deal out of the whole "global warming" crap.
The earth has had many different periods of warm and cold weather.
Like for instance the ice age!
Did everyone die?
No.
I am not saying that it is okay to pollute and everything but I don't think everyone is going to burn to death.
And why do people think we should ...

You could try looking up the words " Sustainable Development".
Most traditional used explanation has three EQUAL components (basically the Earth's biosphere, People's communities and Money).
This is an idea that says you can meet the needs of these three in the present without compromising the ability of future generations to do the same.
A real sustainable built environment would have to ...

The point is to debate over Global Warming, not to say "Conspiracy! GLOBAL WARMING IS HEREE!!" haha.
And I believe that there are lifeforms in existance that live apart from our solar system and galaxy. Not so much that they visited, but that they do exist! (:(:

Volcanoes produce fertile soil, and land for animals and vegetation to build habitats.
And you can try plugging a volcano, but you will do more damage.

If we solved the energy problem, then we would have to find something new to complain about. people are making tons of money off the fact that we need to be "green". Besides the financial, i think that nuclear power has somehow become a horrific word to americans. i dont know how or why, the plants are just as safe as any other form of energy, but its the way it is.

Christians all don't necessarily all help the planet. Christians act most of the time more mature than others, but Christianity is a religion. It obviously has to do with the people in Texas. Texas is a big state, which is why it has more garbage.

Remember, the alarmists changed their position to state that there will not be more storms, but the intensity of each storm will be greater. Again, they developed a thesis and then went out to gather the appropriate data to support their thesis. The data is not cooperating so expect a new set of thesis's to emerge in the near future concerning this issue.
Thats why I don't argue science on...

AGW is just another facet of liberal social engineering. California is bankrupt because of programs like this. Which is not a bad thing, in the long run. Maybe some Haight Ashbury hippies will finally sober up and vote Princess Nancy out.
