Quote: BaselLife Hi, there is a hope that the Lugenliga will get enough signature to be able to be able to have a national vote on overturning the compromise bill that was passed in parliament and put forward the stricter rules that have been agreed in the cantons that have already voted on new smoking rules. If it is put to a national vote, then looking at the votes taken in the cantons it should be possible to enforce the strong rules. Of...

But my soul is aching. If your soul is still aching it means that you didn't forgive him. Oh, perhaps you did it consciously, but not your soul. You husband should see more than a couple counsellor if he's sex obsessed (i'm...

There is an hotel on the 3rd level I think in the Sheikh Rashid Terminal
with great views though it is a bit expensive. I have seen internet
services in the form of kiosks where you can access internet with a credit
card swipe. Not sure if Wifi is available as yet.

It doesn't matter about the nick - if I was a regular and had something I couldn't share with everyone, I'd do the same thing you did.
Its not about right or wrong, its about needing a place to vent and getting some support. I feel your pain and know how lonely it can get. But do your children but most of all yourSELF the favor and don't keep it inside of you or suppress it. Please vent, cry,...

Welcome to the forum! I don't quite understand what you're saying yet I feel confident that there are other relevant threads that have discussed much of what you're trying to say - search for minarets or SVP posters.
Have a nice day

Most of us aren't Swiss, so you won't really be getting much of an answer

Democracy run amok ? Absolutely not, a valid question and I'm glad we get to decide such essential things for our country. And yes, of course, every law or ban of course does infringe the freedom of others. But as with anything in life it's a trade off.
Some "democracies" can go to war without the slightest consultation or support of their population, that is something I find extremely ...

I wonder how much of this is a question of expectation. You provided a "I've got a standard self esteem, I can achieve almost anything" as a choice.
I would say I have a standard self esteem. Which means I generally am ok, but suffer moments of insecurity, self doubt, and self dislike. I'm confident and outgoing, but I also don't think the world is my oyster.
Is it that you think there's ...

Hi all,
As it's getting close to that time, I thought I'd start a thread for ski/boarding activities and banter.
So if you are planning a trip, want some info, hear of some good deals on kit, have any tips you want to share, or want to ask questions on any thing snow related post it in here (it'll help keep the forum a bit neater too!) By posting you'll get an email when someone else posts...

Stoking the flames or...? (no comments)
Switzerland's justice minister said today that her country could ban full-body Muslim veils in the future, as neighbouring France is currently debating.
Eveline Widmer-Schlumpf said seeing a woman in a burqa makes her uncomfortable, even though the head-to-toe outfits are rarely worn in Switzerland.
"If the number of women wearing a burqa ...
