Hi Laura I was just asking someone about you the other day, as I've missed you. You were always very sensible and friendly on the board, and I remember how hard you worked despite the pain and surgeries. I always admired your courage and bravery. Congratulations on becoming 'Mrs'. I hope the TTC path isn't too long and arduous, and we'll be here for you as you go through the trials and tribulations of this part of your...

Hi I've always been pretty swollen for a good two weeks after surgery ... after which things start to gradually noticeably improve. This has particularly the case after my extensive surgeries. I wouldn't worry too much yet. As Mollymog says - I would perhaps also go easy on the lactulose if at all possible. Hope things improve soon. love Sue

Polycystic ovaries: please help
Published (2009-12-23 12:57:22)
Hi all, this isn't for me, but for a friend. She's not had periods now for over a year, since she came off the pill (her last period was August 2008); she's come off a different pill before and they returned straight away, so was concerned. After numerous GP visits and blood tests, she was finally referred for a TVS, and has been told that she had numerous cysts all over both ovaries, and also fluid surrounding one which could...

I know that place too Buttercup, and I think we must live quite near each other (am in Potters Bar at the mo, but lived in Hertford for a short while) small world lol. I took a friend in there a few years ago as he was so down and fed up over Xmas and it cheered him up no end. Its a great garden center and like you, I go every year as it fabulous. There's a reasonably nice pub for grub just a few yards away too :-)

Hello hun and welcome to the forum.
Firstly it might be worth mentioning that the pill and the mirena coil both work very well in endometriosis, so i wouldn't say that you are being fobbed
off exactly in the treatment suitation.
Although i must say that i do think the way you have been treated is wrong, very wrong. There has been some research to show that endo can be herediatry and
the ...

Hi Buttercup,
I just want to say how brave I think you are. I know I'd not cope without my endo treatments, but I understand about your concern.
I truely hope that the pain clinic can keep your pain well under control, and I wish you all the luck in the world with it.
Sorry I have no advice or better words, I just couldn't read and run.

Hi your post struck a chord with me - I too have fibro and endo - so feel for you - I didnt get on with mirena - this was mainly as it shouldnt have been tried
on me as I had a large fibroid and it was never going to work anyway - still feel cross about it but another story ! Do not try to remove it yourself this
really needs to be done by a professional as it may cause you harm - mine got stuck ...

Hi Laura
Well it sounds as though it was very complicated but successful. Its good that your ovaries and tubes are clear so there is a hope of having a family some day
chick!!!
It sounds as though they are taking good care of you.
I hope you continue to heal and get well soon and wish you a speedy recovery.
Best Wishes

hi there
I have just been diagnosed with endo following a laparoscopy. I had bowel problems too (not rectal bleeding, but constipation/diarrhoea) first, then developed
painful sex. I had a colonoscopy in February of this year which was totally clear (also a pelvic ultrasound in January this year which was totally clear) , so
no, you cannot rule out endo with a colonoscopy. It might show if you ...

I'm really sorry but I don't know much about this so can't really help.
All I would say is that I would also be very uncomfortable about this, and would probably refuse it. I wouldn't mind them having notes about endo, but like
you, I've also discussed a lot of other very personal things with my GP, and would not want a stranger or my employer to be aware of these things, because
as you said,...
