Probably come to regret this but I will stick my neck out
Firstly what part of the world are you working in as local regulations will dictate any requirements but I would Err on the safe side & either fit RCBO's or Rcd's. As you have said its a wet environment, lots of metal work & its unlikely that a competent person will be constantly around.
Now for the incomming sniper fire to shoot ...

I currently have a PAT tester and a multifunction tester that have been calibrated.
Both items do have calibration numbers that corrispond with the numbers on the certicates.
otherwise I could have a similar piece of equipment and could get certicates mixed up with differnt equipment.
This is similar to when I put a barcode label on an appliance when PAT testing
does this answer your ...

Hi Russ,
Just a quick questiion.
I am trying to get on the NICEIC domestic installer scheme. A friend of mine said its Almost impossible as its really hard and they want to see 3 jobs all near by. A major job and minor job.
Is it really that difficult? I have just finished an installation 1st and 2nd fix of an office/storeroom at the end of a long garden ( approx 44meters). Would this be ...

Hi
An additional factor of 1.8 is required for discharge lighting, i.e - (3200 x 1.8)/230 = 25A.

CPC's to primary means of earthing which is the earth terminals on the socket.
No need to earth the back box as it not an extraneous conductive part and them there two M3.5's cover it anyways. I always do, though.
Code 4 ?

Hi.
1. Issue an EIC only for the circuit you have installed. Any comments/deviations on the existing installation you can put in the comments/departures box on the cert
2. To cover an entire installation with one RCD contravines the regs so either it should be a dual RCD board or DP isolator with each circuit on it's own RCBO (if applicable).

Hi everyone,
Just joined this morning and thought I'd introduce myself.
I'm Gary Mcgee and am An Electrician from Glasgow and I have a question for you guys (or girls) out there.
I'm on a particular job at present, a very old, large, sandstone building that is having some alterations done. I'm running a few new circuits ie 2 x ring circuits and a few lighting circuits, not heavily loaded...
