MdElantra's donation...
Published (2009-11-24 22:08:00)
Ok, I just got a PM from MdElantra and he presented me with an idea. Between now and December 1st any member or moderator that donates will have their donation matched... up to $100 total. That's pretty amazing and very generous to say the least. All you need to do is donate via the Donation System . Think about it... that $10 donation becomes $20, for example. This is the most generous offer any member has...

2011 Buick Regal, Turbo and Manual
Published (2009-11-21 17:00:00)
I think if I had money for a second car, I'd go for a 1987 Buick Regal. Fastest American made car for that year. They only came in one color, BLACK. The other turbo models were the T-types that came in 3 different colors grey(or pewter) / black / white from I believe 78 - 87. For more interesting Regal history here's the scoop: http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/2006/1...ers_guide1.html You can also see on youtube the intro to Fast...

I am (FINALLY!) setting out to resolve my transmission problem. I changed out the fluid today (5 quarts), and next week, I will do it again, with a filter change. Already, I've noticed an improvement, though it still gives me some grief (locking into 3rd gear). The good news: There was a minimal amount of metal in the fluid. BTW, I learned that the capacity of the XD tranny is 8.2 quarts.

I've noticed that the headlight configuration is slightly different from the US models. In the Korean Avante commercials on youtube, the stock Avante cars all have clear parking lights while the US models have an orange color lens. That's pretty interesting to hear that bulb size is differnet too. I'm planning on upgrading to Sylvania's in the near future. I would love to upgrade to ...

Last few months ours have been ranging between $1.16 and $1.10 CDN per litre for regular gas. If my math is correct that would be around $4.05 to $4.25 US per Gallon. We have a provincial control that sets the price every Friday

Hey, welcome to the club. Honestly there is so much on this subject at the club, it's definitely easy to find. Check out the Mufflers/Exhaust section of our Review Zone. The Garage has many member cars listed with exhaust upgrades. Try putting muffler or exhaust into our search engine. 4 pages of results for "muffler" in the title http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php...

QUOTE (MEly @ Nov 24 2009, 11:20 PM) Got thinking about this today. I was on Canadian Tire's website today and noticed that on their homepage was the following picture for winter tires. Couldn't believe my eyes! (You can try to check it out on www.canadiantire.ca should be there for a bit still) Where else have you seen unexpected pictures of Elantras? P.S. If I'm going to get ...

I actually thought the stock intake would be considered a cai. Also best thing to be would be a quality drop in filter like the trusty ol' K&N.

James, aka SuperGLS, over on EXD is trying to get a quick meet together at Taco Bell in Tyson's Corner, VA this weekend. If you need info as far as address and details let me know and I'll get all the specifics from him. This will be an afternoon thing and I will be bringing my dog out to the event as well. Just a quick 30min-45min meet to talk, grab some food, the usual meet thing so ...

I just washed mine today. Next time I wash it I'll also polish it with some Nu Finish. I found a stain in my passenger side seat and I got that cleaned out without a problem with the Turtle Wax Oxy Interior1, that's some good stuff. This thread will be about keeping up with what everyone has down with their Elantra. If you did anything to your car, from simple maintenance to modifications...

QUOTE I'm still back and forth on the shoutbox. It has it's fans but only a few. I do like the idea of having one but every time I put it back up, posts do go down. Ultimately, I need to do what I think will keep the club active and having the shoutbox doesn't seem to help in the big picture. I'm thinking the best bet is taking it down permanently and we always have the chat room for ...

Wait... That paint/clear is still fresh. I recommend waiting 4 to 6 weeks before applying products to it to be on the safe side!. You can wash it though but don't go scrubbing to hard on it! No dish washing soaps also!

WOT=Wide Open Throttle If the Borla fits you should be fine and any rumble tone change will come with hard acceleration like WOT At idle the Borlas ive heard are pretty quiet on stock exhausts. Not sure what it would do to your exhast system warranty sure some of the mechanics here might know but i would think its void after an aftermarket muffler install so pray a CAT or oxygen sensor ...
