1969/1970 Weltmeister sticker
Published (2009-11-24 14:58:00)
Great foto Milou, thank you. Can you tell me what the build date is of the ex-Siffert 71S please? I would like to determine the correct placement for the Marken-Weltmeister decal for my 3/71 build date car. Some time ago, I placed the Early S repro on my windshield thinking that was correct. I subsequently learned that the later MY cars had them in the rear quarter window. Thank you.

You say this car bounced around a few times....is this the car with the rebuilt engine, and everything was there except I think the seats? Didn't John Audette from Oregon once own this car? Kind of bounced around the west coast for a couple of years?

There wasn't any undercoat line, the backs of the bumpers were undercoated, and the frontsides were painted. Were you maybe thinking of the rocker panels?

Very cool Jim. Did you check out the info and trailer for the film "100 Porsches and Me"? Pretty neat. Anyone seen the entire film?

John,
The premium for the S is all about collectibilty. I have owned various T,E and S's. All drive great. But as George Orwell once wrote, "All animals are created equal, some more equal than others."

Looks good-can you give a list of parts you acquired for the project and do you have pictures of the inspiration-is it a factory ST-twin plugger?.

Frank,
I'd first get someone to help by pulling the release while you push down on the hood - Then let up and see if you can get your fingers under while the release is still being pulled on. If and when this works, with hood open you can see where adjustments need to be made.
Hope this helps...... and please get back to us

If I can find some time I can look up the times in my flat rate manual. However I make no promises since a local club I belong to is trying to put on a major show in two weeks and it looks like our venue for the last 30 years may still be closed for repairs.
