When I am down or feeling sad, Bernie will tell me that I can choose how I feel. Many times I would get mad at him and feel that he was ignoring my feelings and telling me something stupid because he was tired or irritated. A few weeks ago, there was a quote in the Unity church bulletin that read: "Happiness is a state of heart and mind . It is mine to choose. When I rise each morning, I think positively. I begin my day with a...

As a Bagpiper , I play many funeral gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a grave side service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Kentucky back-country. As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost; and being a typical man I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the...

Thanks. Good to read. Not sure if this is the right thread for this message. It is New Years Day here and my wife, Lucette said to wish you all a healthy, happy and peaceful New Year. She wrote a message which I'll type on here. "Take lots of time for Stillness and quiet and do not be upset when you have times of worry and tension, because at those times remember the often...

Yes aunty Ruth they do riding for the disabled in the UK and kids with autism are involved in that. They ride on the ponies and I know about this because when I was here at home I used to be involved in riding for the disabled here and learned about how to handle all the kids with special needs, and there are other therapies too with other animals. Where I work now we have programs for teenagers with multiple problems being sent...

Hi Ruth. I took a look at your post this morning, and I didn't have an answer for you. So I went into the kitchen to scrub some potatoes for breakfast (I decided that since no one was going to bring me a nice big fancy breakfast in bed, I'm going to prepare a nice big fancy breakfast, and it's a beautiful day, so I might just take it outside and eat it on the patio) Where was I? Oh yes--I was ...

"Dog Genius" is a show that aired on the National Geographic Channel. One segment was about Donnie, a Dobermann Pinscher owned by Carol Young in Gaithersburg, Maryland, who arranges stuffed toy animals into patterns. Really awesome! You can see it here on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nGQ0n0A71xQ And here is another dog using some ...

Just beautiful Lucette! I saw a butterfly a few days ago that was disguised as a leaf. The wings, when in a closed position looked exactly like a leaf (and the same color as a leaf) when the butterfly had landed on a tree, and then when the butterfly was in flight, it looked like a beautiful shade of orange. In other words, there were different colors on each side of the wings. The ability of...

Dearest Raven, I read your post and was so deeply moved and did not know how to respond
to such dire honesty. I wrote the poem below as if you were speaking. As you know, I let
the spirit speak through me and wrote it honoring both you and your children. God bless.

This is SAD. Having conflict/hurt feelings on this site is always tough. But NOW??? I don't know what Cathy said, since her posts were deleted, but whatever it was, it was something on her mind at the time and it may have had nothing to do with the poem, but everything to do with something else. Let's all hug and kiss and say I Love You and accept you as you are. All of us say pissy things ...
