USB programmers for $25..... most people are selling used ones for more than that. These read and write smart cards nicely and you pick what crystal you want in it. (3.68 is an option) I sent you a PM with site info.

What kind of cable do you have? How long is the cable from your receiver to the motor? Get a very short piece of cable and connect the motor to the receiver with it. See if the motor turns with a short piece of cable.

This is some good news. I know there is tons of people with the 5000 and 6000's stuck away in the closet that can be put to use. I know I have one myself but to chicken to do the IKS thing.

Is the phone line plugged in?
If you moved it across country without changing your service to that location. When the receiver phones the call center, they will know someting is not right. May have some explaining to do to get it back.

Look at 58 west with a C/Ku Band lnb on a good 6 foot dish. Most channels for Brazil are scrambled however. I get these channel s much farther north than you are located

Since the "This is total bullshit and I post stuff without any real knowledge" section has a waiting line, I just moved this to rumors for now.
Of course, part of this is true. IF and I say IF a new fix comes out, it will be after Halloween (since that was yesterday) and someone will more than likely test it first.

Just been checking out the testimonials and they seem to be all unremarkable people except for a generic ms. smith.
I find the pricing is a lot better than b*v (spit) without the accursed repeat ch's.
I may check them out.
