Meanwhile, I continue looking through the listings, during which I found a posting which included the following: Our highly creative, hard-working yet fun-loving interactive department is looking for individuals who have: * The ability to stifle laughter when you see someone building a Web site using a WYSIWYG * The capacity to work under duress That wasn't all of it, but that's the funny part.

Just to keep this thread near the top of the list... "What shall we make them?" Ayeka asked as she surveyed the kitchen in dismay. She had never truly felt at home in the place. There were too many foreign concepts here that eluded her. "Well...." Akane paused for a moment, following Ayeka's line of thought almost precisely. "I'm not really that good of a cook," She hated to admit...

The Killing Song
Published (2009-12-17 03:35:08)
Shepherd wrote: The fact that bodies can survive without souls implies that the killing curse does not work by simply severing the soul from the body. Consider that Rowling says 'avada kedavra' means 'let the thing be destroyed', and that it kills people. Since DH has Harry meeting Dumbledore after dying, which would be impossible if the AK destroyed people's souls, I submit that it extinguishes one's magic/life...

Ben, are you and Gina okay down there? Say the word and I'll come soothe any ruffled feathers - my Japanese passport is still good. And while I know Gina
speaks Japanese, sometimes an approach that's... other than her usual one... comes in handy when speaking with bureaucrats.

If she was chosen by the headmaster, there is no need for her to make a pactio as a gesture of trust. For that matter, with her power and her inclinations,
it's more likely that she's going to end up gathering her own group and cultivating potential
recruits people to add to her harem connections.
Also, I cannot imagine her going anywhere without her group of knights in tow. What are they...

I think that Doug would more likely have copy of " Killing Me Softly with His Song" by Roberta Flack. Assuming that he'd keep a tune that would do
that (which he might, since as he has asserted, he's a soldier, not a superhero).

Quite good, overall - this chapter introduces a new member of the " harem" (for want of a better word) without slighting either her or the existing
lady in Zeke's life.
One jarring bit, though - the first section in which Lum makes an appearance switches from third-person to first-person midway through. It should be one or the
other all the way through.

Ah yes, the Lucky BB. It has been the bane of many a man-o-war on the high seas. Well, maybe not 'many' but there's been a few notable occurances,
on both our side and theirs.
BTW: Is the Lucky BB a trope at TV Tropes? Can't really tell right off since the name I'd give to one trope isn't necessarily what everyone else
uses.

Well, my son loves Nanoha, if that helps any. He's 10. :D
Hmm... he's also extremely fond of (read: rabid fanboy) Avatar: The Last Airbender. Which isn't really my cup of tea, I'll admit, but I've sat
through several eps with him and found it enjoyable, if not something I'd seek out on my own.
*wanders into the other room, asks the Small Fry*
He really likes Read Or Die (as do I), ...
