This game looks fantastic (graphics). The original looked really really good when it was released too. I don't have the original any more, but if this is sold for a good enough price, I might get it eventually.

By comp_ali's criterion, I don't think there are any self respecting game companies.

Now if they made a complete pack in this HD Revamp then this may be a little more worthwhile...
Just a shame the video was a little short. It just don't show off enough of the new enhancements..

Well, I am shopping for the best pre order deal lol.
I am very looking forwards to this. An extra reason I am is because the disc version will not have any kind of authentication DRM crap, just a disc check. Plus the whole being (hopefully) an amazing RPG. Perhaps I am wrong, but it feels like it might be Mass Effect with Dragons lol.

HI Mkk, generally when we do reviews any FPS below 25 have some sort of explanation. Along the lines of "it only happened once during the level" or "it happened multiple times" which gives the reader a better idea about the experience than the FPS alone. We shall consider your points though and see if they can be used at some point in the future.

Re: Poor Performance - Possible GPU Upgrade
The graphics card will be better (but I would recommend something like the 5770), but the CPU is slow too. In fact, I would change both.

Dang, I was all excited when you first mentioned the 5970 and said that it was a dual CORE card.
I mean that rascal does look like a beast, but it's still just an X2 with a different name

Yeah sounds like overheating in the CPU. Was it pre built system or did you build it yourself? First thing that I would check is the mounting of the CPU cooler. Do you have any idea of the system temperatures when the shutdown happens? You could use some system monitoring software and run super pi in a continuous loop about 10 minutes and keep eye on the temps.

IMO best... specially for Via chipset.. with AGP... is a ATI Radeon x1650xt AGP (or anything in the X1xxx series....
They use native AGP busses, anything in the HDxxxx and above use a PCI-ex to AGP bridge which has caused ALOT of people havoc...
I mean you can give one of those video cards like the 3850 a try, but i don't recommend it, not unless you can take it back at the moments notice...

I'm guessing this is similar to using a heatgun to "reflow" a 360.
From what I understand it basically melts the solder and gets it to solidify again.
But no I haven't heard of anyone doing this and wouldn't do it myself, wouldn't want to lose an oven with a gfx card
