I'm very impressed with Floyd's defense but he has lots of comp. a few of whom don't take a backseat to him in the 'D' dept. IMO the discussion should include Pernell Whittaker - a boxer who had a superb defense (though i hated his style)..... he had wonderful lateral movement, feints from head, shoulders and his entire upper body - he slipped punches and rolled well with a shot when he did ...
