MC Tuesday

I've had a really crappy day. I was hoping to leave by 2, but instead I left at 8, in a very lousy mood. When I got home, my lousy mood was broken very quickly. I walked in to find a clean house, & DH, the boys, Bevo, Brutus, & Shooter all wearing tighty whiteys, sitting on the couch. It was absolutely hilarious, & I just couldn't stay in a bad mood after that. Apparently, Bev...

kpwlee: I miss him and particularly find leaving him down there at night awful. Fortunately he is OK with it, I, however, go down every night and lay on the couch down there for a while and listen to him sleep. That sound is one of the most relaxing sounds I know. Sigh This made me get tears in my eyes.

Oh Bugsy, you are such a good boy and your humans are trying very, very hard to keep you happy while you get well. I promise this is harder for your mommy than it is for you. You look beautiful in that fish tank

BEVOLASVEGAS: We still aren't really sure what set this off. The best guess that we have is that it was yellow jacket stings that sent him spiraling. About 8-9 days before his PCV bottomed out, he was stung 11 times. There was nothing else, abnormal, that he was exposed to. Absolutely that could do it -- that would most definitely be a "toxic...

Tina, I'm so sorry to hear about Grandpa Green. Rest in Peace. ((TINA)) Thanks for asking about Maghee, Tina. She's doing o-kay. Not great but she's holding her own. My pet sitter loves her almost as much as I do & will do anything for her. I have it set up with my vet that he can take anyone of my dogs to them if need be & I'll take care of the...

Oh nooooooooo Thalie, Spip! What a nightmare, I am so sad for you all. Spip sweetie you must let it heal and let your humans relax a bit. Have you tried Trazadone (sp?) they gave it to me for B but we haven't had to use it much. It is a tranquilizer and flattened him out fairly completely. I am just stunned at how determined she is to get to that wound, must be driving the poor baby crazy. I just don't...

I'm thinking you are trying to scoop too much Tina. Or maybe you don't let the taters cool at all first? I probably leave an 1/8 of an inch on mine. But, what the heck, you can also put them in cupcake papers. Not like you have to eat the skin......

The immediate solution is to not allow here outside unattended, to pick up the poop very quickly. Some folks have had success with feeding pineapple to the dogs to prevent poop eating.
Not to be unpleasant, but your husband needs to understand dogs a bit better. Number one, poop is a very valuable commodity in the dog world. Depending on what you feed, nutrients often pass on through and ...

As far as SchH you can't get any better than a nice GSD. Most of the other breeds are more reactive, don't have the same fight drive. But I may be biased....

VET!! And have it aspirated. They can tell just by withdrawing fluid from it and looking at it under a microscope what it is and then you can decide what to do.

There is a bar in Wabuska, NV where there is dog that pops up from behind counter when you sit down like he is ready to take your order. Once I was there and the bartender called from another room to ask what I wanted when the dog was standing there looking at me and it seemed he really was asking for my order.

When I was a teenager, we had a friend w/ a guide dog. One day, his dog was attacked by a loose dog. My dad grabbed he dog and drug him Grandy. My dad was super pissed and screamed at the loose dog's owner.

Tina, sorry about your foster mom's dad. I'm hoping he had a peaceful passing. Sounds like you were a baking fool this weekend along with Glenda.
Twister is feeling fine but I'm taking him in for a fecal check and to check his teeth/gums. He still has loose stools this morning.
Deb, I read that using vodka instead of water to make pie crusts works great. Let's just see about that....

Raining here. Even Agnes didn't want to be outside. Hopefully we'll get our walk in tonight.
She must have put the fear of Dog into that opossum - it didn't come back last night.
I am tired today. I would love to curl up with some homemade cookies, finish my book, then take a nap.
