It really makes you wonder. Quote: Toronto Humane Society president Tim Trow and four other employees are facing criminal animal cruelty charges after a very public arrest today. At the same time its offices were being raided, the society's board of directors was also charged with five counts of the provincial offence of cruelty to animals. Shackled in handcuffs Trow along with the society's chief veterinarian Dr. Steve Sheridan,...

still don't know anything about the spay/.... *sigh* but today was a great day! She had a doggie date with my friends dobe. We went to a park, he was off leash and she was on a long leash and they got along famously! So now she has a boyfriend. In the house they slept beside eachother, and we had a breakthrough.... we had rawhide bones lying around (that she wouldn't touch, or any other toy) and the dobe picked it up and started...

Darkness tips
Published (2009-11-27 08:37:00)
Simba doesn't much like the dark, I have a torch when we go to out in the dark and she tends to walk where I shine the light. I don't let them off lead in the dark, but what i've done is buy some LED collars that flash so that people see us coming, it helps because then I can get the dogs out of the way or other dog owners can if they see us first. The only thing to do is to gradually desensitise him to the darkness, just build...

Oh dear, as far as I know, dog hair does grow back, but it takes much much longer than for humans. Sophia and Zircon had a run-in way back over a toy, and Zircon has a spot to this day on his nose to show for it.
I hope someone else can give you a more encouraging answer!

Hello dcsam and welcome to the forum.
Firstly, I'm sorry to hear of the problems your dog is having. I'm by no means an expert on Bronchiectasis, but I found this site helpful;

There seem to be fewer and fewer shows that involve writers. I get the feeling ever since the writers' strike they show more and more programs like "Dancing with the Stars" or " Extreme Makeover" that I can do without. The only major network show we watch is "Desperate Housewives" and that is also re-run after re-run.

I have a little headlamp that I wear when it's dusk or downright dark.
Maybe something like that would provide enough light for Joe.

Sony is a great camera, I have a Sony Cyber Sure Shot, super camera, but only 8 mega pixels. I got a Cannon Rebel SLR 450D. You cannot beat the Cannon for rugged cameras that take super photos for the price. I got the 18-55 lense came with it, also a telephoto 70-300 lense I have yet to master either well yet to be professional. It has a ton of settings, alot to learn, RAW, stabalization, ...

Welcome to the forum Riikkasmom!
Riikka is a gorgeous dog. You say she is underweight and has no muscle. If you want her to gain some muscle and a little bit of fat, I suggest take her for hikes, long walks, play some ball games like fetch etc. This will give her muscle and put weight on her in the mean time. I can definately see the Shepherd not sure about the other breed though..

Want money back from Shelter... Is this reasonable?
Hey everyone,
Some of you have probably been following my thread about our new Dog, Riikka.
We adopted her for $300 from a rescue about an hour from us, who pulled her from another shelther (the night before we adopted her). So the rescue only had her for one night.
We have a ...

This is fascinating and you write about it so well Mel that it's as if I can be there to see it! Oscar sounds just like Sophia as far as being a buttinsky goes - and I wish I had done more to nip it in the bud when we got her but NO I felt sorry for her and let it go on. And Zircon once got so fed up with her taking a prized toy (Hide-a-squirrel) right out of his mouth that he went ballistic. She...

You look amazing!!! Congrats, that's hard work.. It's a proven fact that the more you take bad stuff out of your diet the less you crave it, and the more good food you crave.
Slow is the best way to take it off, it\s better for your metabolism and you will keep it off easier! Good Job!

We have decided that we want to keep Quinn out of the kitchen. She is horrible about getting into the garbage, and our roommate is very messy, there is always something she can get into. The only problem is that she can jump baby gates with ease. I mean, she flies over them without touching the surface at all. In fact, at Pat's ...
