I was given an '84 R/C 4x2. My 11 year old daughter wants to convert it to 4wd. Is it worth the effort.

I think the dude told me it's a 4.7 liter..I don't know much about this new stuff. Was/is that a engine size option?? Anyway..he said he has a pecking..like a lifter...worse when he starts it..doesn't quite go away though. I am assuming it has roller lifters?? Correct? Anyone have any idea what it might be doing?? Im switching my front axle Dana 44 from unit bearing style to the manual hub style with all dodge parts; hubs, spindles, outer axle shafts, etc. I was just wondering if anyone knew if i had to switch out my steering nuckles too???
