I've set up a recurring meeting in our SharePoint calendar that includes a workspace for each occurrence so to be able and upload files relevent to each meeting. One meeting was cancelled, and I've deleted the meeting from the calendar. However, the "Select a date from the list below" list in the left column still includes the cancelled meeting date, and the workspace for that cancleed meeting still...

When OOB approval workflow is configured on a sharepoint List or Document Library, there is an option to set Due Date Reminder workflow. "Due Date If a due date is specified and e-mail is enabled on the server, participants will receive a reminder on that date if their task is not finished." In our setup the reminder emails sent out are received as unformatted text. All other workflow notification emails are...

Reset Site Administrator...
Published (2009-12-17 07:11:00)
How can I reset or recreate an administrator password for a WSS 3.0 site. The site uses form authentication but the owner is not able to log in with the administrator password. I am able to login to Central Administrator (which uses AD authentication) and view site collection. I also have admin rights on the WSS server. Is there a way to add a user or reset the password of the admin user on a site? Mike .

I would start by going to whatever you are using as the credential store for FBA to look at changing the password. If that is not an option then just change the site administrator or add a different account to the Policy for Web Applications list for the web app. -Stephen

Dear support, we are experiencing performance problems on our SharePoint 2007 web servers. Our farm is made by 5 servers: - 2 SQL in cluster - 1 Appl. server - 2 Web servers, virtual machine with 2 CPU and 4 Giga RAM On each web server the same 40 sites are running, some of them are related to Shared Service provider, with 30 web applications. One application pool is defined for each web application. On the same server two Anti...

Search and w3wp CPU usage in...
Published (2009-12-21 09:46:00)
We are having an issue with WSS 3. Our farm consists of the WEb front end (which is also the serach server) and the database server. Search is causing the main sharepoint application process (w3wp) to use 100% CPU. If I stop the windows sharepoint search service, the CPU usage goes to normal levels. Has anyone seen this? Is it a known issue? How do I troubleshoot this? Thanks, Jeff .

Hi All, I want to get the list of all the active directory users who have access to a document in a document library using Object model. I found that document level permissions cannot be set in both SharePoint 2003 and SharePoint 2007 but we can set permission on document library, web etc. The application should work on both SharePoint 2003 and 2007. Any suggestions on how can I make this happen? Submitted via EggHeadCafe -...

Hi, I have a survey which is set to generate alerts for all changes made on it. If I add branching questions in the survey , alert is not generated for newly created response . However alerts are generated if I edit/delete any response. This will work fine, if I remove branching in the survey(i.e.Alerts are generated for new responses also). Any help?? brad brad wrote: Alert 17-Feb-09 It seems your situation is involved very much....
