No, the retention setting doesn't apply here. The archive pst should be in the default pst location - outlook should open to the location if you go to file, open, outlookdata file. Or go back to tools, options, other tab, autoarchive and copy the address where the archive pst is - then paste it into the address field of windows explorer.

Thanks, Diane. Yes, the first option you metioned is checked. I got to the Calendar Properties, AutoArchive tab, and the radial button is checked that says "Archive items in this folder using the default settings." At the bottom of this little window it says "The network administrator has not set retention policies." Is that relevant to my problem? If the calendar has been archived can I get the...

When a recurring event is manually moved from Day 1 to Day 2, where Day 1 fits the recurrence pattern and Day 2 doesn't, the exported data doesn't pick up on this exception, so the exported data not matching what is displayed in the Outlook calendar view. The export process used is "File/Import-Export...", to Excel 2007.

Thank you. I guess what I need to look for is inexpensive shared calendar options that will work with Outlook 2003/2007 without Exchange server. You can use views in the Day/Week/Month view to hide/show appointments
meeting specific conditions but I do not recommend using recurring
appointments if you are going to edit the notes in each occurrence. That
makes every occurrence an exception and it makes the appointment more
susceptible to corruption.

you can turn it on for month view - right click on the calendar and choose
other settings, show end time. Day and week views don't show times unless
the appointment is not within the currently selected scale.

1) Not possible.
2) Outlook doesn't support exporting custom fields directly. Quick and dirty
method:
1. Put all the items from your form in one folder.
2. Use a table view to display all the data fields that you want to export
to Excel.
3. Choose Edit | Select All.
4. Choose Edit | Copy.
5. Paste to Excel....

SAM = Security Access Manager and is not an Outlook related issue. Invalid
SAM ID indicates a connection failure with your servers - something changed
in your environment which made the SAM ID for the machine you are using
invalid between the server and workstation.

Typically, how you want it to work is how it works - outlook adds meeting
requests to the calendar as tentative automatically.

Exchange *server* will suit your purposes along with the Outlook *client*
program on each person's computer.
Court calendars can be public folders on Exchange or they can be their own
mailboxes, depending on what you intend to use the calendar for, just
tracking court dates or booking them as a resource.
