  Thanks to postings in this group I recently overcame some problems with MS Installer configuring Office 2007 whenever one of the Office programs was started. I will post that solution after I solve the last part of the problem, which is: Installer runs some sort of configuration routine for Office 2007 upon reboot/restart or power up. Any ideas, anybody, on how to stop this behavior? Thanks

  The fixit program I used was from your second link. I tried to uninstall the activation assistant, but it tells me that MS Office 2007 needs to be installed before the assistant can be installed. You will need to uninstall the Trial version of Office along with the Activation Assistant before you can install your purchased version of Office 2007

Your Trial has expired and you CANNOT re-download or install\activate the Trial again. It lasted the 60 days and now it is time for you to either go out and spend a little money and purchase Office 2007 of your choice or install Open Office which is free.
