Any lawyer like you who helps people and doesn't spam should be exempt as long as they file the exemption paperwork before the deadline. There are other nice lawyers that are undercover on the site and they can stay too since they are secret.

and no, "smart" or not, if you are in debt up to your eyeballs, you would need to keep working, there would be no way around that. again, i liken that to a litmus test for the kind of person who makes decisions using his/her common sense, much like a doctoral dissertation committee and possibly the ability to write coherent laws in cogent timeframes. the other idea i have, is that congress actually only be convened once every 8 years...

The property is not listed for sale on Zillow. What you see is a Zestimate which is an estimate of a homes value. It's not a sale price nor is it an offer of sale.

In other words, I won't answer the simple question about supply and demand effects on the market that you asked... And this is 4 months later... You are correct, less people moving somewhere lowers demand, and would be expect to be a negative, or at least the decrease of a positive to equilibrium price.

I used to love BOA. My accounts with them date back as far as 1994. I have been very sad at their personality change in the past couple of years. I don't like that I feel like I am being punished for their poor choices on other clients. I have never missed a payment or paid less than the amount due - nor have I once had a late payment with them in 15+ years. They have closed my accounts, changed my interest rates and...

That's a very good question. If the inspector causes some damage will the homeowners insurance cover it? It might be a good idea to have the inspector fax a copy to the homeowner. I heard a story once an inspector let turned on a faucet in an upstairs bathroom and forgot to turn it off. I don't remember the whole story but if I recall the home was a multi million dollar home and caused ...

Trust... hmmm... I think that goes both ways. There are plenty of buyers and sellers who just outright lie to a Realtor. But a lot of us just keep trusting the next buyer/seller b/c the good outweighs the bad. Maybe you should ask your agent why they are in real estate. Those of us that are trained/educated to do other professions but choose to practice real estate are different. I'm not a ...

It's going to ultimately depend on your market area, but in general, a 4BR is going to sell higher than a comparable 3BR and it will also generate more showings. It should be relatively inexpensive to add a closet.

I don't know if it would add value to the home, but it should add value to the property when you go to sell it.

Hi Guys - I want to quickly clarify a few areas of confusion: 1) For those lenders that simply want to participate in these forums, there will be no charge for contacts you receive from Zillow users as a result of the advice you give here. You will ONLY be charged when you are contacted by a Zillow borrower who you have quoted on ZMM. 2) Zero risk policy. I understand that Zillow is still ...

NTETS, that was pretty much my thought. I was shocked when I saw up to $100 for a lead. I definately see value and understand Zillow needs to make money and wants to make more. I would really question these conversion rates of 50% and 2.1 GFEs per contact made. It is so easy for them to click on 10 quotes and ask for a GFE. I just don't see how Zillow can assume these numbers. And, to ...

I can't link it since it was just on the tv news, but they were talking about "real" unemployment (including under-employed and those who have given up completely) being upwards of 17% - yikes!

Don't forget about the "lending institutions" that are being "bailed out", and the up to $200k per "depositor" that the "government" (taxpayer) guarantees. And then there is the "seller" that missed the 2005 window of opportunity. The congress is just trying to give them a chance to liquidate before it is too late. Sure, the Realtors are being kept employed by the "handout" But that is not ...

Adot, The only thing a banker doesn't disclose and a broker does is YSP ( Yield Spread Premium) which has no bearing on what you the consumer pays at closing. All disclosing that has done is get folks to focus on the wrong things... I broker as well as direct lend so I have disclosed both ways. What I (or any broker) and or the bank make on any given loan should not be factored into what is a ...

Zillow, I wanted to know is now a good time to buy a home? I'm a first time buyer and want to take advantage of the $8000 tax credit. I know that it's going to end Dec1,2009. Will there or is there already a decision made to extend the expiration date? Will it still be for first time home buyers only? Thank you
