That's becuase most Americans live off pizza & burgers! lol. It's not hard to get the vitamins you need if you're eating a healthy diet with lots of veggies, beans, nuts, grains, etc. Besides the faux milks, there's?a lot?of calcium to be found in spinach, bok choy, beans, artichokes, broccoli, collard greens, etc, and?it's possible to?get enough Vitamin D for the day just through 10-15 minutes of direct sun...

Yes and they are annoying :( I don't know about anyone else, but it sounds like you are using them right. They really need to come up with something different... I broke my ankle in college and had to hobble around campus with them. They hurt my wrists, forearms and my underarms really bad too.
