The pho is horrendous, they put carved package roast beef on top rather than rare thin steak that should cook in the broth. No matter how bad we want pho we won't get it here and will drive to East San Jose to get our fix. Now there is a review to remember: "only tolerable when drunk."

Other descriptions of food include phrases such as "...neither dull nor exciting...", "...masks some subtleties...", "...house-made, unlike the smoked chicken ravioli...", "...unneeded dabs of goat cheese..." and "...difficult to focus on the lobster aspects...", many of which seem to be backhanded compliments...

Here's a thought... if you want to keep to your budget, maybe not order the pork plate and then an additional bowl of soup. That's your problem. For a budget, go across the street to Carl's or DEl Taco or down the street to McDonalds. You're in a sit-down establishment and if "from the get-go" you knew your budget was going to be blown, then you should have left...period. We need to start taking ...

I always liked the place. Never had a bad meal. If chewing out your slacker employees is what it takes to make a restaurant work on that part of Ocean, then more power to them. Nobody forces anyone to work where they don't want to in this country. Yet.

So what are "authentic Mexican tacos"? Does that mean they're actually imported from Mexico, made by immigrants of questionable legal status in the U. S., give the consumer the instant need to imbibe vast quantities of Imodium, and/or contain so much chili they're prone to spontaneous combustion?

Well I doubt all that, since Spanish doesn´t have the cedilas, and it would be "puerco". Aren´t many Cubans who claim Carib or Taino or Arawak blood, and the native polulation was wiped out mostly centuries ago. Where di you get your info from?
