Can you ever post something without 'right winger' this or 'GOP that'? How many times do you to be told? It isn't about this party versus that. They're both corrupt

I wasn't referring to Al Gore, but the millions of resource-wasting Americans. So the "third-world" can justly complain we've been consuming far more & polluting far more for longer. But China & India will soon surpass us. But there is a bit of hypocrisy in these scientists as I've never met a group that travelled so damn much and didn't do anything to cut back (my old boss believes cutting-back is...

So very glad I'm helping promoting your business. It's still an ad, no matter how you slice it. If people are foolish enough to fall prey, that's not my problem and to your benefit. Ooooh, you win!!! Rah! However, for personal reasons, this c*ap is ending now. Have fun playing and gathering business that will not help anyone.

Do they already know your previous salary? That's what I try to do, say, "Well, this was my previous rate, but in this economy I guess it's negotiable, I can be flexible." (my own previous rate was lower than my previous rate which was lower than my previous rate ... which was pretty good (but not great) given the market even circa 2005)

They are a bit more dangerous out West than here on the Right coast. They have these monsters called 'Super Walmarts' that contain an entire grocery store inside them. Haven't seen these out East yet, but that doesn't mean that they don't exist. No Super Market chain can compete with them, but sometimes their 'specials' are a bit lower. If you are currently in school, get yourself a job with Staples tech center or Best Buy's Geek Squad. The field as it stands today must be approached from the bottom up. I would familiarize myself with selling some of the business software by understanding accounting principles and how the software is used. From that experience, you could land yourself an entry level ...

SJ is right on. If any of us are disgusted with the state of IT and still really enjoy IT enough to keep at it, then we should stand up and fight for our right to earn a good living doing the work we enjoy. Organizations like the AARP try to make it illegal to ask about age. But I think that tactic is ineffective. These days, it's easy for a company to find your age. What I propose: make it mandatory to ask an applicant's age. Also, make it mandatory to have a certain percentage of older workers. Just as you can not hire only white workers, or only male workers, you can not ...
