Due dates on accounts
Published (2009-11-25 16:08:00)
Hello Margarita123 and thanks for posting to the community. Each creditor has different rules as to when you can change your due date. Keep in mind Barclays may not accept a proposal unless the account is 60 days or more past due. Until Barclays accepts or declines, please continue to pay the difference to the creditor to avoid late fees. If they decline, you will receive a letter in which they will offer you a temporary rate...

Good morning and thank you for posting in the Community. Absolutely! Any additional payments would enable you to pay your debts back sooner. However, to ensure payments are applied with your program benefits, any additional payments should be made through your CareOne program. To schedule an extra payment, simply contact us or access your online account through My CareOne, along the top toolbar under quick...

I am sure you would be able to get a credit card later on, but why would you want one? I never, ever, want another card again in my life. I intend to be debt free and pay cash for what I want or need and if I don't have the cash then I don't make the purchase.

For the most part...they are great! However, on occasion it seems I get a bad meat or two. But for the other items that are store packaged, it is great! Some of the meats are repackaged in generic packaging from larger bulk and that is how they cut the cost.

STARTING WITH THE PROGRAM
Published (2009-11-19 15:22:00)
Thank you for the advice, I just want to be sure I do the right thing, you sent a letter directly to the creditors just requesting to suspend cards, and informing them about CareOne. Sounds like a good plan, I signed up last week but my proposals don't go out until Monday. I am going to apply your advice. Have a great day!

Hi Billy, Thanks so much for the advice! I was almost ready an hour ago to send an email to Care One to cancel my DMP. I decided last minute to wait and see what others have to say. Thanks again and that sounds like a great way of dealing with this whole awful financial situation I'm in. God bless and Happy Thanksgiving to you too!

I can remember when I was younger and wanted to get credit established....I went to my local bank and asked for a "secured loan". They put 500.00 in a savings account and as I made my monthly payments to the bank for the "loan", that payment was put back into my account. So after I had 250 paid, I was able to take that 250 out of savings to spend. When the rest of it was paid off, I had some credit...

Good afternoon sgcret1 and thanks for posting to the community.
The payment should post to your creditor statement within 3 to 5 business days but keep in mind there was a holiday this week which may extend the time frame by a day or so.
Thanks and read our most recent blog: Stay on track with your debt plan over the holidays!

Good Evening!! I am on month 2 of the plan. My second payment is due to go out on the 23rd. I have already seen a dent in my debt for the first time in 3 years. Hang in there, it will be OK. I was nervous too, but so far Care One have been amazing. Do not worry, I think we have all made a great decision to get out of debt. I actually stopped getting phone calls about 3 weeks ago. legally, if you are paying even one dollar on an account, they can't send you to collections. It is illegal. Keep making a payment and if they keep calling you, tell them to call Care ONe. Noone deserves to be harassed. They are just trying to threaten you to get more money...that's how those tricky little jerks work. lol

Sue- The program is designed to pay your debt off in under 5 years. So if you owe $10,000, and lets just say for argument sake $900 for the interest amount over the 5 years. Now they will take $10,900 and divide that by 60 months and get $181. So the payment never changes because they figure out what it will take to pay it off in the 60 months. You will pay the $181 for 60 months to pay off ...
