So, the challenge is CHRISTMAS.
It could be a street scene, shop window, parcels or a Christmas plate full of goodies. A dish of plum pudding mmm, tasty.

This is the view of the garden courtyard through a hallway window outside our office door taken at lunch time today. The snow has finally arrived here in the south of the UK.
We're going to a wedding outside of Loughborough on Sunday - I just hope snow won't complicate things!

On my Panasonic G1 I tend to shoot 4:3 and crop as required. Very often the
result is 3:2 or thereabouts but at least shooting full frame gives you
most opportunities for selective cropping. No doubt this is a poor second
to meticulous in camera shot planning and framing.

It's been in the news again this week. A senior police officer says that police should not use anti-terrorist laws as an excuse for preventing photographers from lawfully taking pictures in public. But today, a well known professional architectural photographer was arrested and detained while photographing a church near to a building in the City of London belonging to an international bank.

It somehow says so much more about the little boy than a more formal portrait. We can see he is unsure of whats going on and is clinging to his mum for support and reassurance, but the photo also has an Ahhh factor, he looks like a...
