Published (2009-11-06 22:02:00)
OMG redflower , the EXACT same thing happened to me about 7 years ago! I went to my usual HD, asked for her to dye my naturally light brown hair "a nice, rich chocolate brown", and walked out with BLACK hair, plus a nice thick ring of dye on my forehead! I was so intimidated, it was the first time I'd had my hair coloured in a salon, and the HD was fussing and saying how great it looked, I didn't say anything in the...

We got pressured into inviting husband's older sister to our wedding (despite the fact she has been a hag to him his whole life, we were "mean" if we didn't, apparently) and to this day I wish we hadn't bothered trying to be nice to her. She was horrible. Didn't watch the actual marriage (she was sitting in the car ), didn't talk to anyone at the reception and sat scowling at everyone. Then she had...

My garden is going to be de-cluttered this w/e. I'm having a load of this gravel type product delivered so I can re do my garden paths. I have my shovel and neighbour's wheel barrow at the ready. The man is coming at 8 am tomorrow. I have bought leather gardening gloves for the tasks ahead. __________________ Your Chipped Nailpolish Revolts Me.

Ahh, Chicago, my kinda town. I've been living here for just over ten months now (going home in 6 weeks) and I can tell you it's just a fantastic place to see. I love this city. If you're coming in the US Summer it's fantastic! They have so many free concerts and events around the city, and so much to do. Also, there's fireworks every wednesday and saturday night, and free trolleys running that...

Are they the type of items you could get authenticated at the Purse Forum?
Perhaps if you got someone there to support your opinion that they are fake
it could change her mind.

Not sure you can buy it in shops here, but you can definatly get it online.

Not contiki, but I did the Kiwi Experience in the South Island for 6 days which is similar, so that's another option.
I'm not an organised tour kind of person generally, and the bus was PACKED (even though it was shoulder season) but it was good cos I ended up being able to do things I might have otherwise missed out on.

I remember an old thread like this, but let's start a new one.
Married voguettes, would you be so kind as to share your experience with us? In particular could you name:
1. One thing from your wedding day that went brilliantly well; and
2. One thing from your wedding day that you might do differently if given the chance.
TIA!

I always match my wrapping, last year it was all brown paper, with a thick (4in) ribbon of linen textured black tissue paper, then a thick silver ribbon.
Not sure what I'll do this year......
I go quite traditional with my tree, then put on one handmade deco each year.

Real Women - Can we Handle the Truth?
I assume we all saw Sarah Murdoch's natural, unenhanced beauty gracing the cover of the upcoming issue of the Austalian Women's Weekly and I assume we all liked what we saw? I know I did. This is a woman who stands by her values and principles. It took guts and I applaud her for that.

Can you come over and tell this to my housemate? Our house is brimming with her junk. We have a spare room that is just crammed with boxes and bags of the last 4 years of her life, so much so that no one else can use it. Grrrrr.
As for me I tend to have a purge a couple of times a year. I moved overseas a couple of years ago, and then moved back home, so that was good for a serious clean out.
