I would love to be held ashore for a momo. And if this wonder happens, I will hate myself looking longingly towards the wharf and the passing sails. Life is a piece of cake, if you look at it; and it is probably best to be a wasteful son of a millionaire. b.

gonesail, what are you scrubbing it with? are you using a brush? and what detergent? The only problem I have had is the teak may get a bit fuzzy, but that isnt a loss of soft grain. The soft grain is the life of the teak, without it it becomes brittle and dead looking. If you can silver out a teak deck, then you can silver out any of your exterior teak . It can be quite beautiful. I have even accented varnished teak with silver and the effect...

Steelshooter,
I have not seen any one use it on a deck. BUT, I did meet a guy in Mexico that has an older wooden power boat in the 50 to 60 foot size. He did the hull, deck to kiel with it. I was surprised to see it used that way! It had been done over a year before we saw it and it still looked good. I did notice a small crack where two of the wood planks (in one small area) came together....

I was boarded 5 times in 4 months in Canada but only when I was on a dock or wharfe...my boat fits the profile for a boat running drugs up from the Caribbean...big with a Caribbean registration.
I was 'interviewed' by VHF by the USCG off Dominican Republic one dark night... the Coastie was running without lights but as I am not US registered and was in international waters he had no ...

Anchoring Technique with Old-Fashioned Anchors
I am in the process of closing on a boat with the following ground tackle: 35, 42, and 75 lb Yachtsman's anchors and a 15 lb. Northill as a stern anchor. This is 32' 16000# S/V with a lot of rake. The anchor rodes have about 8' of chain on them, floats, and then reasonable rope rode for the remainder (at least 200'). Now, I ...

Interesting boat...you guys in the states get all the cool stuff. 44ft with an 8ft beam seems unusual. I think your assessment may be right Scott...this could be a keeper.

Never heard of it. My side decks aren't big enough to scoot around on. : ) I've opted for folding bikes. In addition to not taking much room they don't cost anything to operate and are easily repairable/replaceable.

You realize thems are fightin words. At least you didn't accuse a multihull of sinking.
To each his own. Frankly, I love em all. Anything that catches the wind, lifts, and goes is ok in my book.

We're back - unexpected forums outage
An exploit in our software was taken advantage of by some hackers who linked to a malicious site. It appears there was a little over 4 hours between the time it happened and the time we took the servers offline Thursday.
In an effort to minimize damage to the board we opted to shut everything down while we investigated the issue and ...
