GOOD WOMAN FROM ALASKA!
Published (2009-11-27 20:48:00)
I saw a post on another board the other day that said if Sarah Palin looked like Susan Boyle her 15 minutes of fame would have been up before she left from Alaska to begin her pop star VP nominee fame tour. Those that love her do so with almost idol worship status, like crazed Micheal Jackson fans, and through rose tinted glasses regardless of anything that happened in Alaska that would taint her Barbie image. The rest of us suffer through...

FUTURE OF Q E 2

And of course I wake up today to find that Dubaiworld is asking for a standstill on it's debt. But in the grand scheme of things, the QE2 is but a small piece, the only thing I hope is that she is not forgotten in what will be a big shake up. Posts: 313 | From: Las VEgas | Registered: Mar 2006

Departure of Majesty o/t Seas?

I think it will have to be something other than just Majesty, as it will cause confusion with Louis Majesty. People will always talk of just 'Majesty'; until now when asked to distinguish they can give the 'of the Seas' or 'Norwegian' - with no other name they will be saying 'Not Louis' or calling her Pulmantur Majesty anyway [which is a bit of a mouthful]. My bet is that BLEU DE FRANCE goes to Saga, but OCEAN DREAM is anyone's guess. Her buyers could be anything from Louis Cruise Lines to Kyma Ship Management... Has MAJESTY OF THE SEAS been refurbished on the same scale as SOVEREIGN OF THE SEAS was a few years prior to leaving the Royal Caribbean fleet?

Wish I had the money for the book Ernie, my late husband and Rick Sasso, who was the SE sales rep. for Costa long before he was CEO of Celebrity ,and now NA's CEO of MSC had demitasse with the captain on the ship in his office on a 3 day cruise. I never got to see the interiors of the ship, it was long before I met him.

Sarah Palin kicked out the old crooks so she could put in the new ones of her circle. She quit the governorship halfway in her first term because all the investigations were going to find some serious corruption of her own. Her ultra right wing views on abstinence, same-sex marriage, abortion, and separation of church and state are toxic to 95% or the population. Regardless of anything, she ...

Pretty scary. I read an interesting article in today's L.A. Times www.latimes.com about the large population of Somalis in Minneapolis of all places. Seems like we're doing a great job of just importing these problems right into our own backyard.

REGENT SKY has changed hands recently. A couple of years she was sold to Jay Management was moved from Avlis Shipyards (Lelakis owned at one time) to Salamis near Piraeus and laid up. There were reports about a year ago that she was sold to Paris Katsoufis (owner of MONA LISA) and would be completed. Actually she was moved to Eleusis Shipyard at that time and was renamed ZOE. Now she appears to...

Good day folks. I'm a new member here so please go easy on me! In my judgement the Oasis of The Seas is the greatest cruise liner to date. From everything that I've read and pictures that I've seen about her so far, she is number one. This great cruise liner has proven that she can take a pounding from sixty foot swells crossing the Atlantic and she is quite capable of doing this crossing ...

Good Morning America will have a captive audience tomorrow. I hope they do a better job on their LIVE broadcast than they did on OASIS's arrival last week. I would think a snippet of live broadcast every 30 minutes would do nothing more than make us mad. They have a coup on this broadcast, hope they don't blow it.

Great compare! Central Park was nicer than I thought and wins, for me, as best inside facing balcony. CP is nice and quiet and is like a Parisian park. The Boardwalk is loud and noisy, with or without the shows going. I would avoid the BW interior balconies unless you didn't mind all the noise

My partner and I were in Ft. Lauderdale and Miami today looking at properties. We are moving to Miami in January. First my partner (job transfer) then me a month or two later. Of course I had to check out OASIS, and we looked at some properties in Miami that overlooked the port so I captured some photos. It was a very busy day today in the Port of Miami. Before our flight back to Atlanta (...

I still find it odd there is a not an internet cafe. I don't bring my laptop on any vacation, and I really don't want to surf the web from my cabin on the TV. Call me old fashioned, but I like to go to the internet cafe and surf the internet on a "real" computer. If OASIS is anything like CELEBRITY SOLSTICE, then every cabin TV is powered by a Mac Mini and comes with a full keyboard (which ...

That's a real bummer indeed. I got the H1N1 flu shot as part of my Healthcare Worker duties, and was down hard for 2 days. I experienced a lot of the same identical symptoms you are now in addition to fever, massive nasal drainage, frequent trips to the 'facility', and 5 hours sleep out of 48, being unable to sleep because of all the rumbling 'downstairs' and facet works coming put of my head. ...

Yes, the early buzz is very good. People seem very impressed with the design and features of Oasis. I've heard many saying how easy, even intuitive, it is to get around the ship. That's a credit to the designers. But I wouldn't count your chickens yet, RCI. The ship has been sailing at 1/2 capacity for these preview cruises. I'd love to be on almost any ship if it's only half full. Let's hear ...
