CHRISTIANITY IN THE USA
Published (2009-11-22 22:34:00)
Yeah, the Bible belt for sure! But I think that just about any area other than New England, Southern New England in particular (CT, RI and MA) is more into Christianity in general.

My grandparents always did a nice piece of lead crystal for the girls and a set of mint coins from that year for the boys. Now they do an ornament for the great-grands until they hit 10yo.

Quitting smoking support thread
Published (2009-11-24 17:16:00)
I quit smoking just in time. Apparently it's time for my annual Fall yuck-in. I went to the doc today, and he confirmed it. A couple scripts and I should be feeling better soon. I always used to hate getting a cold or any type of respiratory infection, because, when I was smoking, a simple cold always turned into bronchitis and sometimes pneumonia. Hopefully that won't happen this time. Even if it does, I am still infinitely better...

Heya Lisa! You probably don't remember me (formerly known as Jungleskippertina), but I think we were a revolving door coming/going in the singles folder for awhile. Humble used to always talk about you and try to get you back in here. :) I'm glad things are going so well for you! I got married 103 days ago (hehehehe we're driving our married friends crazy), and I've got a beautiful ...

It used to be my main source of transportation. Now, most places I need to go are 15-20 miles away and on roads that are too dangerous to walk on. I'm trying now to get used to walking around the neighborhood, just to walk. It's harder than I thought. To me, it's kind of like driving just to take a drive. Almost seems like a waste. But I'm getting better. Welcome to the forums!...

Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. My grandfather passed away on Christmas, so I was out of town for several days. Still trying to catch up! I was able to run while I was gone. Kinda fun running in my home town. Running down familiar streets, looking at what had changed and how much stays the same...

I'm so thankful to find this thread! I have been smoking for 11 years. I hate it, it is destroying my life. I quit smoking for 5 weeks once and found myself getting so much more done, having more interest in life ect. It is terrible that I am always thinking about how, when and where I can have my next cigarette! I have a beautiful loving family and I am being such a terrible example and ...

It is an amazing church, Mike and Sam, and I love it. Yes, I feel very comfortable there. I have started walking in the neighbourhood of the church to get to know the place and the people better and to pray for them and the community. I've been advised to stay away from the streets that the hookers ply and for now I am complying but apparently the only danger is that the johns will try to pick...

I guess my suggestion that there could possibly be in issue with forums upset the system, so it broke the thread! I don't do anything for Halloween. Never have.

A spiritual exchange happens between you and God. Emotional bonding with someone is developed by spending time together and sharing information etc. Don't confuse emotional bonding with anything else... if you spend time with a person you like and are attracted to, bonding takes place... not just because you pray together. Guarding your heart and managing your time with the person that ...

OK, everybody please note the time of this post. Yes, I have already been to bed. I got up at this awful hour. Now that you've picked yourself up off the floor . . . It's all Melissa's fault. I'm taking her to see a neuro-opthamologist at the hospital this morning. Could you all please pray that he figures out what's wrong and finds a way to help her? Thanks....

so how is everyone today?? I'm tired. I did too much yesterday. Even though I'm in the second trimester and have more energy, I get worn out much faster than I did with previous pregnancies. I scrubbed the kitchen floor, did laundry and made 4 pizzas from scratch yesterday, 'cause we had friends over. Today I have to clean the house like normal, put mt. laundry away, and go to the ...

As all Jewish roots and festivals are mere shadows of the real thing, Jesus Christ, I choose to celebrate His incarnation rather than something that pointed to Him and His coming.
