Where did you plugged in the Mic? Frontpanel or rear connector?   When in rear: use the creative audio-console to change the flexi-jack function to microphone.   hmm... and when you right-click on the volume control in taskbar and move to the input-devices, change the default kommunication to the microphone you use.

Hi Mickwoodlyn,   No, it's not normal for the player to rebuild the library every time you turn it on. What type of music files do you have in the player? Are these ripped from cds using the bundled software?
