Murda, He Wrote: StumbleUpon may save America from decline to illiteracy By Mark Macmurdo Earlier this month, the Nielsen Company released its quarterly statistics on television viewership in the U.S. The results? Americans are watching more TV than ever - more than four hours per day on average. And if Americans are watching more TV, you can guess what they are doing less of - reading. Americans between the ages of 15 and 24 spend just seven...

The world's first practical light bulb was invented by Thomas Edison in 1879, and it was to be only three years later that an
associate of his, one Edward Johnson, electrically lit a Christmas tree for the first time. The tree was in the parlor of his New York home, located in the
first section of that city to be wired for electricity.

Hey everyone.
I thought I would extend the time limit on the Christmas card list exchange a little longer. I thought this might give everyone a little extra time if they
like to be on the list. I will make Monday Dec. 7 the last day to accept everyones name and address for the list. Then I will PM the list on Tuesday Dec. 8. I
think there be plenty of time yet to get cards out in the mail....

Well, got to this late here in the UK; it's 11:20pm. Anyway, the one thing I absolutely did not do today was cook dinner. I do everynight,
but not tonight as I had a doctor's appointment late in the day and didn't want to return afterwards to cook!
So my husband picked up a fish and chip dinner on his way home from the pub. Fish and chips are major here!

We watched a movie hubby taped earlier. "Taking Chance", with Kevin Bacon. I had tears in my eyes almost all through the movie, and at the end,
seeing the actual young man Chance, I cried.
It moved me profoundly!
A must see!!
