I would like to contact Capt. Leslie Scott for allowing me to enter the cockpit and sit in the captain's seat on G-BOAD when he came to NY. I'd also like to contact Capt. Mike Bannister who flew the aircraft into JFK for the last time.

The main problems with keeping her at LHR - nice though that would be - are the lack of space, lack of public access and, I suspect, a worry amongst the PR people that she might remind people that aviation took a huge step backwards six years ago.

A very few still log in occasionally on this forum, or on the French af001.com forum. But I think you will probably need a different route to contact them, unless you're willing to say some more about your "very intriguing idea that involves Concorde...

From the museum info page : Update - Sunday 15th November 4.35pm: The Vimy landed safely at Brooklands at 2.42pm today. Looking forward to photos! Weather wasn't too bad if the satellite pics can be believed. CJ

BLIAT, Ask the question on the French www.af001.com forum. Enough people there know English, so if anybody has an answer, you may get lucky. I think F-BTSD did most of the last round-the-Bay flights (I was on the last-but-one on May 29th, and that was 'SD), but I can't confirm. CJ
