QUOTE(Livyjr @ Nov 26 2009, 01:32 PM) This may well be one of the last bastions of FREE SPEECH here in America for people who are not politically powerful, connected, or rolling in money like the WALL STREET FAT CATS who have been made fat on our tax dollars through these endless BAIL-OUTS I gave. Hope all who have not done so will pony up. Livy is right. We are on our way to Fascism Lite. This post has been edited by...

Today makes me miss poster MrJim MrJim wasn't much into conspiracy stuff, but he was interested in JFK last year when I went for the first time to see the library where it supposed to have happened, it makes no sense. Just seems like the angle was all wrong from "up there". If the car was going the other way, perhaps. Or if it was on the next block, not the block it was and how much more evident that something was amiss...

One thing the Afghanies do not suffer from is intellectual paralysis. They form war counsels, they smoke the best hashish in the world. And, they know poppies and guerilla war are their strong suit. Buy the poppies, and fight as guerillas and it's done. Try to figure out infrastructure and education and they laugh. It's a social structure of rebel strength...not intellectual argument. Only the strongest warlords can build schools...

Some Advice to Libertarians.
Published (2009-11-20 12:35:00)
One obvious pattern is that our government has what I call the junk drawer/junk box mentality. As I struggle to keep my house organized, I've learned that not having predesignated spaces for new items accumulated leads to junk drawers and junk boxes, including tool boxes. In the case of the executive branch, it's the junk Presidents cabinet. As times change and new responsibilities arise, they fall in the executives lap and are...

QUOTE(Powerman @ Nov 17 2009, 09:04 PM) But how are we going to keep the cows from farting? Since most cows are raised by agribusiness and live inside climate-controlled buildings, simply pass a law requiring those buildings to be air tight and then capture the methane. Might actually be profitable.

Chris Matthews had a good piece today on the transition and how LBJ made sure to have Jackie in the picture of the oath, and flew back with the casket. Thank God for the orderly peaceful transition and LBJ moving boldly ahead after.
