Seriously, if you have to repeat what I stated, use quotes. You're really just taking credit for someone else's words. How do you believe evolution is optimistic? I'm more interested in what you guys think(you know, using your own brains instead of just pugging in different words to my sentences?). If that's the best claim that you can come up with, then there is nothing left to talk about that I couldn't already do so...

Do Elite Colleges Discriminate...
Published (2009-11-06 13:13:00)
Quote: I've never disputed the general inclination of Asians toward STEM fields. But they should not be penalized for this bias unless the presumably lower admission rate for STEM-inclined Asian applicants is proportional to a higher level of achievement for STEM-inclined white and URM applicants. It's my hypothesis that potential STEM majors iin general, across races, are likely to have, on average, better stats than people looking...

Yes, I was so disappointed for him because for most the NROTC is back up! We can't believe he got USNA. He is over the moon! He just got back from a CVW that we asked to be invited to and he loved it! Can't wait to see the official packet from USNA!

Have you considered UVA, which TJ founded? Daughter 1 is a Jr. at WM and loves it. We are hoping D2 transfers next semester. However, both sons are UVA graduates.

I am slightly biased towards Minnesota since I live in Minnesota and loved the campus/am familiar with the Twin Cities. I visted Madison (but not Marquette) and it was okay. I'll try to do a fair comparison on here:
MN WI
the side with the < facing it is better in that category in my OPINION
Social Scene:
Gopher Pride < Badger Pride
Minnesota tradition < Wisconsin tradition

My son submitted his app in May of 2008....didn't get the interview nailed down until September (due to a change in recruiters) and didn't hear another word until late January of 2009. He has just started college at his first choice school and is loving it...but the level of communications is no better now! Pack your patience ~ there is a reason that the term SNAFU originated with the military!

Hmmm I have a girl in my class at 10 AM that rarely wears make-up. I don't think make-up in the morning's that big of a deal and has little to do with being preppy.
There's plenty of non-preppy people. Walk into the McGill dorm (just north of Rand) when you go on your tour when you visit if you want to see not-preppy.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...this guy is going to single-handedly destroy UVA a.k.a bring us back to the 1960s. I wouldn't be surprised if he imposed a religion on us, poor TJ, he'll be rolling in his grave.

Yes, basically if you're a Stern student, you can also be a CAS student in the sense that you can take all the classes they can and more with a few exceptions here and there. But I know people who double major in finance and math so finance and a math minor is definitely doable. Too bad Stern won't let you triple major.

If I do not get matched with any schools, can I then proceed to apply to another school via ED II? Usually those deadlines are around December 15th which is after the December 1st results day of Questbridge.
It seems it would make sense since I no longer have any commitment to other schools at the time of application, right?

I cannot for the life of me understand why a parent would be involved in any aspect of their offspring picking, applying and enrolling in a grad school although I guess in this day and age their are parents paying for grad schools. Not so much when I grew up and won't happen for my kids.
