If you ask really nicely you might get a DPA repair, meaning free of charge. 85,000 km is a lot less than I had when mine was done. The upgraded/redesigned intercoler holder is a must.

V.W Golf Diesel Returns In 2010

QUOTE (deezle @ Nov 26 2009 - 12:37 AM) I'm considering right now the merits of getting a 2003/2004 TDI or a new City Golf. I hate paying for depreciation and I know the diesels generally hold their value better. A buddy took delivery of his 2010 Jetta TDI about 6 months ago ---- it's a very upscale vehicle in terms of interior fit and finish, body work, etc. Assembly took place in Mexico but of course the...

Bunch of them running around my 'hood already. Nice car. I chatted with a new A3 TDI owner at a light the other day. I wish Audi Canada sold the 3-door here, which is much more aesthetically pleasing if a bit less useful... The A3 Cabrio is sweet too.

Further winter prep.. homemade winter mats with 1" high sides using some scrap rubber covered conveyor belting, contact cement, and black silicone caulking. Should help with snow & slush accumulation that is inevitable here. They ain't pretty but I think they will do a better job than anything I saw for sale. I was particularily concerned about protecting battery/wiring under passenger side from moisture. I also rolled...

As mentioned many times here before. There rear wheels cannot be installed on the front. The car cannot be driven properly. You'll need this if you want to have same size tire all around. http://shop.flyingtiger.ca/index.php?p=pro...4&par ent=95

You have a choice of either Continental TS800 or Pirelli 190 Snowcontrol winter tires, staying with OEM sizes. Check the company's websites for distributors nears you.

That looks exactly like the trouble I had. My intercooler was cracked, combined with a failed turbocharger bearing. The oil that floats the rotor of the turbocharger was being blown into the intercooler, then pooling, and leaking out the crack. In my case it was obvious because the lowest point on the intercooler was right over the left drive shaft, so the oil would drip onto that, and ...

I did not realise this was such big news. They have renamed the Jetta Wagon to now be a Golf Wagon, not sure why they did the name change. Nice to see they are putting the TDI engine into a Golf hatchback and not just the Jetta sedan. The hatch is a lot more practical.

In a recent turn of events, A number of emails, documents, and commented source code from climate researchers of at the University of East Anglia have been stolen by a hacker and made public. The emails are between several big names in climate change, and document a number of heinous offences. Things like trying to ensure that papers that question climate change aren't published. ...

Hi Shirl, I have an 08 Pure, and I am insured with RBC. Full coverage is costing me $1400 per year. I thought that was a bit high for me, but $2000 seems pretty steep. Steve
