Without even clicking on the thread and reading it.......my thoughts are
that it failed miserably because they didn't advertise the product
appropriately or adequately.

Game of the year's a bit much... but it definitely looks good. There are some big contenders for GOTY right now - Red Faction: Guerilla ( a dark horse, sure, but if the demos are any indication it has a shot), Bioshock 2, Mass Effect 2 (if it's as close to completion as they say), etc.
But I am looking forward to those snowmobile sequences! And to see what they've done to improve the ...

You don't believe in balance or symmetry do you?
The offset TV and rears at different heights would drive me nuts.
Actually some time ago I had my rears at different heights, but only because I had no choice - even then though I don't think it greatly affected the effect.
Any chance you could give the front speakers a bit more room and perhaps toe them in towards your listening position...

Sounds like a decent plan, but don't get overly ambitious with the working out. Great if you can, but many people (myself included) start out overly aggressive on working out and then after a month or two, stop. I read a post here on CP that you can quiet the tweeters by splicing in an inline resistor to one of the speakers leads.I don't know if it matters which lead + or - and I'm wondering how big a resistor can be used eg (1,2,3,4,5,ohms or more?) I don't know electronics so any advice would be much appreciated.
