Ernie's Ready For Oregon
Published (2009-11-26 07:07:00)
Terry, All of the faxing, scanning, is in preparation for the Oregon Chapter of Ernie's World that he is planning. Actually considering all of the moving around and having to keep track of everything, he is doing quite well and has hopes of closing the deal on his place very soon. I do believe he is getting trailer phobia. By the way, I just happen to have an ERA 427 side oiler in my garage that I might be interested in selling if the...

He MORE than "hit the ground running", he took action at a time when an immediate response was required to stablize the country. When Lexus builds a car the same guy picks up a preset pneumatic tool to tighten a bolt. Day in day out. If I tightened say 20 different bolts with preset tools for 8 hours a day, five days a week. Uhm.... I could get fairly efficient in maybe four hours! I met a guy who bought V Rod and they did not torque a bolt that drives the water pump and oiling for the top end of the motor. Lunched motor! The tool malfunctioned and they had a run of...

We just got one of these in fro a customer project, they also seem to be jetted a little heavier than the previous generation. Havent taken it apart yet, but on our air-fuel meter on the engine run-in stand on a stock 5.0L with a Stock 1989 roller cam and a basic dual plane street manifold ran a really rich F/A ratio . probably is fine with more cam or more cubes, -- but worth passing along.

Thanks! Where are you placing the Thermostat? I have attached mine to the end of the Y-manifold but the motor likes to expel coolant when under hard acceleration on the street. Yes, i wait until everything is good & warmed up. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We spend our time working on, or researching cars, not exercising.
I think part of it also that most of us that have these expensive toys, also have the income that we can go out and eat more than a young family. And needless to say, that food is generally not as healty as a well prepared home cooked meal.

Unique has their own forum & a loyal customer base. It seems that they have had a lot less of a presence here as of late but they do make a very quality car. I considered them pretty hard before deciding to go with ERA.

Here in NE Ohio we once had steel mills, auto manufacturers, and a dozen tire manufacturing co. then all the ancillary support businesses, plastic rubber,& machine shops. Now we have big empty buildings, and not one passenger tire made here. These were high paying jobs that will never come back. I know their are other reasons why they are gone but I also know if we pay attention to what we are ...

I'll get a couple pictures of it up on all 4 corners and post them.

Sounds like fun, I have thought about doing the same thing but it would be tough to justify another car. I can't wait to see the pictures.

Call your dealer Monday. It's the best place to start.
I confident that you will be in good hands.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance, if you can't reach your dealer for some reason. You can call me during the day at work 607-796-9600
