yup I use em for the metrics, and they do come with the hing, on the cheap cant be beat. But not to down play the pan, they are heavy and well made. Cant beat em for the price. Now get on it Poppa D!!

where i hang out a bunch of guys had there bikes tested buy the local, police.it was free of charge...it took into account the surroundings ..grass .open area..buildings values where added into test sound machine..like it says around 97 db plus or minus 3...there where harleys with V/H straight shots and other after market good sounding pipes making a nice rumble sound....they all passed anything louder they should be put in jail for being...

You can get a SPS or BBC for around 15g's. There are a few others that have some nice ones. Look for the Barnette magazine on "Budget Bobbers" I think it is still out they have about 10-20 companies that have bikes under 15.

back in the early 70s i remembera choper shop some were in north london that choped a brand new ural it had long springer forks and a near standed frame it looked good,

Sometimes heavier fork oil can help with the dive. Also a little bit more oil than recommended will help too.

Might want to considder a springer softtail or the like before you jump off on a wild chopper tangent. They are reliable (factory) drivable (factory) look pretty cool (kind of like a chopper) and easy to insure (original HD). Then after you get your feet wet, you will be in a better position to really know what you are looking for.

as far as the electrical goes, get a wiring diagram and figure out what you absolutly need and eliminate the rest. see what you have left then look into where you can move it too or locate it. believe me you can get rid of alot of junk on them jappers, htey have alot of redundant systems from what ive come to discover.

The pic don't do it justice but the banks are real steep in this dried retention pond and it's shaped like a kidney, I was bankin and carving the walls and jumping out the sides. There is a 2x12 on cinder blocks on the top right that I was jumping over... I stayed in that ...
