It's going to make a lot of people quit jobs but I'll try it for a while. Look JusBringIt! I was standing in line for my money trying to figure how 307 are already millionaires when its really about 3,000,000 and you've got to take a perfectly good plan and put us back into recession. Too bad about that whole ideal gas law thing. On the other hand, just direct the tailpipe into the cabin and you don't need an A/C compressor!

On the old EPA numbers I couldn't get anywhere close on the city numbers with my 97 Volvo 960. They were using 20 mpg and my numbers were closer to 15-16 mpg. Highway I always exceeded the EPA numbers by 3-4 mpg. So I guess they balanced out in the end.

Felonious assault seems a more appropriate charge. Or perhaps assault with intent to do great bodily harm. I'm sure the prosecutor will be able to find a suitable charge.

"Bad gas" typically presents with symptoms more severe than poor mileage. Water or other contaminants in the fuel would make the engine noticeably rough (assuming it runs at all). However a 10% FE drop from freshly ethanol-enriched fuel is not beyond belief. It's high, but possible. Maybe time to try a different station? I'm not sure how it works in NC but here in Columbia we can still find ...

I find this is wonderful if belated progress in an area that's sorely needed. I'm old enough to remember when "one for the road" had positive connotations instead of the negative connotations that it so deservedly has now.
We who have a strong interest in fuel economy and energy independence should take heart. It can take generations to achieve this kind of huge societal shift. It's already ...

They are discussing the difference between:
80,000lbs over 5 axles and 100,000lbs over 6 axles.
So that's 16,000lbs v 16,666lbs per axle. You might have expected them to say 96,000 but I suspect the reason for the comparison is that those are the legal weights for the number of axles.
It's just that the Interstate system has an 80,000 legal weight limit. Anything above the legal weight...

Good idea. The gas tax alone cannot fairly accommodate differences in road
wear caused by different cars: a Hummer does several times as much damage
to the roads as a Yaris, yet the Hummer owner pays only a little over twice
as much in gas taxes.

Trevor was a stray that joined the household around 2003 - he was probably 8yrs or so.
He was named after a 22-pound orange/white cat with the same face markings up in the Philadelphia area - obviously got to eat some of the cheesesteakes.
Couple of nights ago, Trevor went into shelf. Offered him food and water and was not interested. So I isolated him from the other cats for ...

Hi Mike
Your diagnosis of the 12V battery as the cause is dead on. I've literally lost count of the number of cases similar to yours and in each one of them the replacement of the 12V battery was the solution.

Cruze and the Volt to be highlighted.
Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - Nov. 17, 2009
The 40 mpg highway rated Chevrolet Cruze (right) next to the Volt could be the real $ earner for a GM comeback.
