The Auto Show season includes bikes too. Wayne Gerdes - CleanMPG - Nov. 7, 2009 Mavizen TTX02 – 130 mph worth of all-electric racing goodness. With the “Silly Season” upon us (Worldwide Auto Show season in full swing), Frankfurt, Tokyo and SEMA have surprised us. The researchers’ results clearly indicate that at least some of the oil and gas we mine from the earth is produced constantly without the need for decaying organisms. Nick Chambers - GAS2 - Nov 4, 2009 Still, global consumption the past 40 years outstrips production --Ed. In 1877 Russian scientist Dimitri Mendeelev suggested that the large deposits of oil and gas we find under the surface of the Earth could be made without the decay...

If this ad has the desired effect, at least the crazy aggressive drivers will be that much easier to spot. They'll be the ones driving Rams. That's usually the case already, but this is adding fuel to that fire. I hate it. It's everything that's wrong with driving attitudes today, wrapped up in one little clip.

Can Chrysler Bounce Back?

It's a long shot at this point, that's for sure. But Chrysler's come back from near-dead before, so who knows ... Quote: the firm's data showed that Caliber prices sat at $18,778 in the first 10 months of the year, compared with $18,855 for the Honda Civic and $17,722 for the Ford Focus. Really?! Wow. Except for the Caliber's hatchback utility, I can't imagine why (other than "anything-but-cute"...

Interesting article, but I don't think it -road rage directed at bike riders or hypermilers- has anything to do with perceived snugness. I have to help a friend replace the radiator and a/c condensor in their 2000 Honda Civic Hybrid after they hit a fence post and cracked them both. Hi Novartis:
___Welcome to CleanMPG!
___Your older Civic is lighter, smaller, and more fuel efficient because it includes far less emission controls, far less safety devices less passenger capacity and far less amenities.
___Regarding 40 + and 60 + at 80 + mph, if it is sustainable, you would have one of the most fuel efficient non-hybrid Civics ever conceived. Even the Lean burn ...

Stay out of assist as much as you can -- recharging the battery is expensive in terms of fuel usage. When approaching a hill, gain as much speed as you can before beginning the climb. When climbing let your speed droop as you go so that you can maintain a higher instanteous fuel economy. If you have someone behind you'll have to choose a safe lower limit to your speed and then maintain that for ...

At least some of the cyclists might have deserved some pain, but certainly not like the two victims....looks like a very good chance some of them were cruising for a brusing.

If we're getting the 1.6L N/A and the 6-speed, the 1.6 EcoBoost won't be missed. About the only way to improve FE-wise would be something like a 1.2L EcoBoost if such a beast were to exist. Overall sounds like a nice little car.

I hate cars without keys. If you used a keyed car for 40 years, you will look for that freakin' key in a pinch when you need to shut it off.
Sure you should read the manual, but most folks don't, and while heading down a hy at 120 mph 3 seconds on a button-540 feet-will seem like forever.

And that's why I don't let anyone touch my car for any reason...ever...unless I absolutely can't get the tools to do the job myself. 45 minutes to remove a wheel, open a cover, replace a cover, and put the wheel back on **is** ridiculous. That's a 10 minute job. The other 35 minutes were a lack of familiarity with the car. A common problem.
