I homeschooled our girls for a year. For us it worked, and why we did it...we had one that was advanced and the school wouldnt allow her to go out of her grade level, we had another that was behind for her grade level. We worked hard for a year. We moved to another state, checked out the schools and their programs and decided to try the last few months of the year in public school to see where ...

If a state like California, is unable to pay its debts can state property be seized? Can someone force the state, for example, to sell it's fleet of cars/other vehicles, sell state owned property, etc.? What if the debt is owed to a foreign entity? I read that California is issuing IOUs and I wonder why it isn't being forced to sell stuff to pay off debt.

Of greater importance to average investors is a dirty truth is revealed. Give Wall Street banksters a gaming stake (TARP) and what do they do with it? They give it to their HAL 9000 to trade the hell out of markets. Would you like a free trading stake and the computer to do it? Even though it would be self-defeating in the end, of course you would. http://seekingalpha.com/article/1447......

I'm American who came to Paris 8 years ago. I planned on staying for a few years and going back. But I met my wife, started a family, etc. The first few years Paris was great. It was like being on vacation all the time. Everything new and different. A total assault on the senses. Met people from countries I never knew existed. Then after 3-4 years it got to be the routine. ...

With the pending collapse of our country about a year or two away, I thought I would begin a survival guide for West Virginian's. West Virginians are their best at surviving disasters and this one will be just like the others. The key to survival is planning, help from the societal group and adaptability. I would like to hear your helpful and constructive thoughts on this issue....

Canada is NOTHING like the UK, it just happens to use the same metric system. The ties with the queen are just there because there's really nothing else to talk about or to associate with.. really. Canada is much too influenced with the American culture and business that there is not a real Canadian identity.

Has anybody seen Alfred Gore? I thought he was educating (traveling everywhere for huge speaking fees) the planet about this impending doom. Has he been sent to the funny farm with Madelyn Albright, Janet Reno and Joycelyn Elders?

There are legitimate journalistic reasons for why theres less coverage this time around, said Seton Motley, a spokesman for the conservative Media Research Center a group that blasted CNN and MSNBC personalities for joking about the April 15 Tea Parties. There arent as many rallies this time, and there was a novelty last time that isnt there now. Tea Party Movement Loses Steam | The...
