Did anyone hear about the iPhone...
Published (2009-11-20 20:01:00)
I have the 3GS/3G and a Cliq(T-Mobile droid), and I can say that the Android will never surpass the iPhone in its current state. The iPhone is more polished and easier for the end user to use. Once the OS becomes more polished I would consider it a contender, but sorry it's not at this moment. It could be the little kung fu genius that is still learning kung fu.

Good luck with it. And yes...I feel for you. It's very aggravating when you CAN probably do things that you want but don't know how and the manuals are USELESS!!! HOPEFULLY, your son will figure this out for you. Thank God someone on the forum helped ME out when I had this same question with my Shine. Let us know how you make out, ok?

Samsung Omnia 2!! - Samsung -...
Published (2009-11-20 18:08:00)
Original Omnia is a fantastic phone--- one year ago. I failed to see what's so exciting about the new Omnia 2 other than the OLED screen. Personally, HTC's Pure and Tilt2 are on par with Ominia 2 as far as WM phones go. I've no battery issues with Pure.   I'll wait until WM 7 and see what's out there. WM6.50 still lags behind compared to other OSes (iPhone, Andriod etc). Message Edited by foxbat121 on 11-20-2009...

I agree. add the mobile purchase blocker. This will save you in the long run. You can have peace of mind. Not only can someone accidently sign up for it. you have to worry about a stranger intentionally or accidently puting in your phone number.. and you get the charges.

I remember when data was $10 for unlimited data. Of course this was about 10 years ago. lol   And the reason the network capacity has not been increased is because of ATT's enourmous profit margins. While Verizon and Sprint have been spending exorbanant ammounts of money to put up cell towers and strengthen their pipes, ATT has been locking down it's phones and creating a hostile enviornment for its consumers. What they need to do...

If you have a current at&t/Cingular ( "Orange" ) account, the message center number should be "+13123149810".  The leading "+" and "1" are required. Message Edited by hme83 on 11-20-2009 06:18:52 PM

I say give the girl a break, she is just human, and most of the calls supervisors take are angry customers. I am sure she did not mean to offend you and there is a famous quote "he who take a offence where it is not intended is a fool." i cant remember who said it, so just let it go and move on. plus it was apple stores fault in the first place. besides if you do call back there is a very small chance you will get the same...

If you go to m.youtube.com through Opera (or any browser I would guess), you can watch youtube directly in your browser at decent quality. There is no monthly allotment of data, it is in fact unlimited. What you are seeing a cap on the application store. You do want your application to install correctly, and Iphones are mobile right? a 10 Mg file on At&t network might take a few minutes to download.

On my Pure, when you go to settings->system->Power (or you can click on battery icon), there is a information page displays info like Standby time, talk time, device usage and last full charge. This page never get updated. It's a quite useful page but not sure whether it is broken or the information won't update until a few recharge cycles later.

"Properly replacing one of the most popular, recognizable BlackBerrys ever made is no easy task for RIM, but it looks like they've done a respectable job in officially announcing the Bold 9700, a device we've seen rumored as the "Onyx" through much of 2009. The new model gently massages the original Bold's time-tested formula by moving the camera up to 3.2 megapixels, giving the ...
