it is actually a contradiction to say a believer lies. If a person truly believes what he or she says, it is not a lie. They might be wrong, but they are not lying. To lie would be to say God exists when you know, or don't believe, that God exists.

There was a day when a persons word was their bond and most everything hinged on that. most followed through true to their word... Are there those here who still hold to that or did it go out the window with the "new change" ? I am of that old school, my word is my bond, I was raised that way, and I raised my son to be that way, but I also know of your concern as those things have gone out the window these days, and I too have been disappointed by those who's words are as useless as and as empty...

They have tried to prove this scientifically and the results were better when people prayed for them, than when they did not pray for them.
