"I came not to send peace on earth, but a sword." --Matthew 10:34 The Christian will be sure to make enemies. It will be one of his objects to make none; but if to do the right, and to believe the I true, should cause him to lose every earthly friend, he will count it but a small loss, since his great Friend in heaven will be yet more friendly, and reveal Himself to him more graciously than ever. O ye who have taken up His...

Giving Cats Pills INSTRUCTIONS FOR GIVING YOUR CAT A PILL 1. Pick cat up and cradle it in the crook of your left arm as if holding a baby. Position right forefinger and thumb on either side of cat's mouth and gently apply pressure to cheeks while holding pill in right hand. As cat opens mouth, pop pill into mouth. Death on the Cross

I would think Mr Wonder's refrences would be more than sufficient since Isaiah 53 not only speaks of the Suffering Servant dying, (vs. 8) but also His resurrection in that He will live again (see Isaiah 53:10-11) Psalm 22, is also very profound. The Jewish people always attempt to contrive that Psalm to refer to David but no way David ever suffered in such a manner. Then you also might consider the following. In Zechariah 12:10, the...

DECEMBER 28 MORNING Thy sins be forgiven thee. WILL forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.--Who can forgive sins but God only? I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.--Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the L ORD imputeth not iniquity.--Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity. God...

BroBryan wrote: After Jesus announced that He would be betrayed by one of His disciples, John asked Him, "who is it?" Jesus replied: "It is he to whom I shall give a piece of bread when I have dipped it." And having dipped the bread, He gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon. Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly." (John...

Revelation unsealed

Thanks Phredo, That was very helpful. Where is the sea? Turned into steam? And the spirits of the dead are all going up with it? I wonder if the people who come back after the thousand years are up, if they will be like born again as babies, like reincarnation? Remember when Jesus was saying to the disciples, who do you say I am? and they were saying what other people were saying, like Elijah, Jeremiah, etc. I don't believe in...

Death on the Cross

Dear Mrwonder, I had those, but thank you! I'm interested in Old Testament prophecies, specifically. Thank you Steve for the Ne Testament scriptures. I will definitely be studying those. So, was I right that no conversation came up here about the cross as the means wherewith God would judge Jesus Christ for the sins of many? In His grace, RedRuby

The whole system of public education is bankrupt. It is so far from
actually educating that it hard to say which is more predominant, social
engineering or brainwashing to the political correct liberal agenda by
secular humanists. Its such a wasteland, that I find it very strange that
any Christians should be supporting it by sending their children there.

A recent bride called her mother one evening in tears.
"Oh, Mom, I tried to make Grandma's meat loaf for dinner tonight, and it's just
awful! I followed the recipe exactly, and I know I have the recipe right because it's
the one you gave me. But it just didn't come out right, and I'm so upset. I wanted this

Hi Ken:
I find no disagreement although I have arrived where you are by another mode of thinking. Simply stated, I don't think God created any individual with the
express purpose of sending that person to Hell. I cannot conceive of the God I worship as being that kind of arbitrary God. Granted, He is the potter and we
are the clay but I do not think any individual who has ever walked this ...

Sorry, but when someone, anyone, claims they are hearing voices from God, I think...well, you don't want to know what I think, but I would suggest you (1)
Find a good Bible teacher or pastor immdiately and (2) get some immediate counseling. (3) refrain from sharing this information with too many people.
God Bless

(Preterists) not only change what the Bible says, they dismiss, explain away or spiritualize hundreds of other verses in Isaiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Zechariah,
Matthew, II Thessalonians, etc.
Everything those prophets said about the first coming of Jesus literally happened.
It's a mistake to say that none of what they said about the Second Coming of Jesus is going to literally happen....

WHAT SENSE WOULD IT MAKE FOR JESUS TO BE TALKING TO HIS DISCIPLES OR THE PHARISEES AND SAY "THIS GENERATION" YET MEAN A DISTANT FUTURE GENERATION?
REPLY: It makes perfect sense. Context demands that He refer to the people He is speaking of, and He is speaking of the generation that sees the things He
prophesied about. Now if He meant the generation living in the first century, we can all...

Santa doesn't believe in us so he didn't come here but MrWonder gave me a very pretty gazebo-shaped, cedar bird feeder and a tee
shirt with my FAVORITE football team's name on it. We didn't spend much on each other because we buy for 10 grandkids and a couple of others. We also
bought each other a 47 inch HD TV a month or so ago and that was our Christmas gift to each other. (And we thought...
