remove transmission from sportster engine Looking for someone/shop who has, and is, cutting the transmissions from iron head sportster engines. Would like to find someone who is doing this on a regular basis as to avoid added costs of R&D. Thanks.

I save all my wheel weights when I change tires on customers bikes. Then after I get enough, I melt them into an ingot for future use. I have no idea what the ratio of lead to tin is, if there is any tin at all in them. With the EPA, some day soon, nothing wil have lead in it. Maybe try a few local auto tire places to see what they do with their old weights.
