Welcome to the site and congrats on the truck. I had good luck with 50-series Flowmaster on my S10 4.3. I was very happy with the sound. Steven

This is a great tragedy to our Soldiers and their families. I am not a soldier but I am a sailor. I get pissed off knowing all the ways we have to let someone know that this guy seems dangerous and this guy was even under investigation by the local authorities once. Other than being politically correct and tolerant why was this man allowed to stay in the Army? I have seen a few turned in by their fellow workers who were either treated or...

^^^^^ I`ve heard that before too. Something about the dexcool coolant eating away the gaskets or something and you should switch it out to the standard green kind but who knows. I`ve never done it. Someone else might have some input on it hopefully.

Feel like I am beating a dead horse here? thanks for all the help in advance? putting this one to bed after this? hah... so I would imagine that if the flush wasn?t fully done some of that old oil in the torque converter would essentially ?dirty? that new oil to the point where you could tell if the full flush was done or not by just checking the dipstick? The other thing is he only used 12 quarts of oil? I gave him 16 and got back 4... seems...

Never heard of grinding to fit. But I can tell you a reliable check for proper fit. With the flywheel cover off use a screwdriver to engage the starter gear to the flywheel...the use a straightened paper clip and insert it at the tip of one tooth of the starter were it meets between the other two teeth of the flywheel. It should just barely fit it if is shimmed properly. Good luck!

yeah, it was pretty much a one off deal. I got busy with my new career so I dont think I`ll have much time for building them for people. It was a fun experience and I highly recommend people try to do something like it to test their skills, whether it be with metal or wood.

This is probably true, but I think if it were me, I would change both gears. Your existing gears are probably not Precision. This way you know the new gears will mesh correctly plus you then have two new gears and dont have to worry about a tooth chipping etc later on the older gear and having to redo it all again. Just my opinion.
