2007 Chevy Uplander Head Rest...
Published (2009-06-30 01:22:00)
I've got a 2008 Uplander and was able to get the driver and passenger headrests out. I had to remove the storage tray from the back of the driver and passenger seats. This can be a trick in itself. You have to squeeze together some body style clips with needle nose pliers going in from the bottom where the tray section meets the seat fabric. When you get the right and left hand side clips free the tray panel should just tilt out at...

I have a 2006 Chevy Uplander. At 35k miles, I have had to replace both sway bars (dealer fixed under warranty), all 4 rotors and pads had to be replaced (out of pocket), a cluster due to the lights of the dashboard going out had to be replaced(under warranty). At the time I had the sway bars and cluster replaced, I mentioned all ofthe complaints of the doors. It was a huge concern to me since I have a 4 and 2 year old that sit by those doors....

Bring it back -- if possible -- same machine -- same piece of garbage. It never seems to get fixed. Climax510 wrote: I just purchased a 2006 Chevy Uplander as well. Its used with 35,400. miles, so Im right at the mark where Chevy manufactures warranty is still in affect. I have the same problem. I was driving and heard this noise coming from the front end. It sounds like something loss. After reading these post it seems I have a serious...

Passenger seatbelt alarm - Topix
Published (2009-07-08 18:15:00)
Thank you for this solution. I have not been able to drive my van for two months now because of the dinging. We found the motors and were able to disconnect them and it stopped the noise.

It probably is not a seat belt alarm. It most likely is your slideing door alarm telling you the door is not shut all the way even though it is. No way to fix it right without taking it in to the dealer. I had problems with both my slideing doors and had to unplug the power cables to the motors to stop the noise. Now my doors work like the old fashion manual ones. I have to open and close them by...

My 2006 uplander had so many problems since I got it. Seatbelt of rear replaced, stablibility and traction control light on, steering rubbing. Now, when I go over small bumps under a low speed, a noise like something loose heard from front end, and the steering is a little bit sensitive. Went to dealership, two intermediate shaft replaced, and the noise still there, they said they are going to ...

Our 05 Montana we bought used has just started the mystery WILL NOT CLOSE syndrome even though it is closed perfectly and there is nothing in the track...the bell starts dinging and the driver side slider door opens up...we turn off the car, turn it back on, try manually starting the door, after about 10 or 15 minutes we end up locking the door and listening to the annoying ding the whole way ...

Same problem here but mine will do it from time to time hot, cold when ever it feels like it. I too give it gas and it will fire right up but everyone around your van will give you a funny look as the van revs up like you are fixing to drag race somebody in the grocery store parking lot. I have heard this kind of problem called an extended start. My van will actually continue to turn over a few...

at about 50,000 miles my transmission started making a banging noise when it shifts. It went smoothly into gear didn't hesitate, become sluggish or jerk as if it slipped, it just banged as if something hit the under side of the vehicle. It kind of went away, now at 100,000 miles it is doing it again and is jerking into gear, anyone have any similar issues? (I already serviced the transmissin ...

Hi: I've got a 2005 chevy uplander that leaks water into the floor boards when the ac is running. We just completed a trip to FL from MD and the entire front of the car was soaked. I think its a condensation drain problem as when we stop no condensation flows out onto the ground. I've read a number of similar complaints but no one with a solution other than the condensate drain is blocked. Do ...

If your second row seats have the side airbag curtain in them, then you do not remove the seat at all. That is way the tab on the release bar under the seat has been removed. If you look hard you can see where it used to be attached right in the middle. I know sounds crazy but that is the way it is if you got that option on the second row. You will see an electrical plug under the set that works ...

I had this happen a few months back and it turned out the after market security system was at fault. It was disabled and problem solved. Until this week. Dead again. And jumper cables aren't working either.
