Search this site and Brol for the Jim's Silk experience. Mark put one on his 700 but rides without. Transport and minimal benefit beyound cool factor would be my thought. For 1300 I bet you can have your local fiberglass shop come up with something equivalent and unique. For fifty dollars you can make a fine coroplast tail box. Here a a couple coroplast from dave balfour and a two fiberglasss/mache tailboxes from richard myers.

Reshaping an XT fairing
Published (2010-01-04 13:43:49)
No, it's an XT, that is, the lower-priced Windwrap fairing. Not to worry, I just posted a request for user suggestions for product evolution, and this could extend to the GT as well. My attention to the XT is because I have one, and because it might well cost less and do more. Do let us know how you might change your GX fairing or even how you envision the ideal low cost uiversal fairing solution. You've raised the aft end of the...

Anyone for Some FAST...

Maybe at this point we should put another plea in to for Paulo to come up with a catrike VM. Doesn't even have to go into manufacture**, some of us would love to see what ideas he could come up with using solidworks.. I can picture a spaceframe exoskeleton cage type vehicle, with the shell fitting neatly onto it. ** although I for one would love to have something he built to push as hard as possible.

Stix, of course I remember who you are .............................. do I know you????????????????????????? hahahahahahah And Dennis, it will be good to meet you and be able to put a face with a name. And for anyone interested, here is our (DrDuc, Throttle 8, and mine) rough schedule for the week leading up to the rally. I'm not sure exactly when these guys are going to come rolling in to my place, but they are driving down to Florida...

I never had a problem with the Rollamajig on my Expedition. The shifts were faster, quieter and never a ghost shift. Love that sucker, just wonder how many miles is it good for before you have to try and track down another? I should have bought five.

Thanks for the kind words evensteven. Yep -- these 2 rallies in Texas (the Texas Catrike Rally and the Heart of Texas Catrike Rally) are DEFINITELY super motivation for me. I can't hardly wait for March and April to ge here. My theme song is "On The Rod Again" by Willie Nelson. I just can't wait to get on the road again with my Catrike friends! p.s. I got on the leg machine this morning. OUCH! Why is it that it take...

A few minutes ago, I received a reply form Mark Eglan regarding my broken Boom Clamp. I'll quote here: Jim: Happy 2010 to you! We will send out a new boom clamp. Please check your boom shim to make sure it is still glued into place and is not wearing out. It sounds like it might be if you need to tighten the quick releases that much. We can also send new boom shim. Also we have redesigned the boom clamp tab, but will take a little while...

If you Google "G-Wrap sunglasses" you'll get better results, although that unisex shower sounds good. Here's one of them: http://www.clipons.com/product_gwrap.php

The Rally will be held on Saturday, March 6, 2010. This past February I attended my very first Catrike Rally. What a
BLAST!! A few of the locals organized rides for the Friday b4 and Sunday after the Rally. I hope that again will be a reality this time around. I meet alot of
great people and I am looking forward to seeing them again and making some new friends.

I just checked mine ty for the heads up I noticed that mine the weld covered the tooth so mine would have bit better bite. My SN is CTE 826 wonder if they
might have an issue and made a more complete weld in later production.
Just a thought if the clamp was a bit lose you might be able to get enough torq and wobble back and forth to work that tooth back and forth the weld is the
weak link. ...

I purchased my Expedition in February 2009 and took delivery in March 2009. It came with the new style seat, but had straps that were fully tight (no room to
make them tighter) and it sagged low enough to touch/rub on the pulley like you say. Several other new owners also had this problem and started a thread to
discuss it. If I remember right their was also a twisting seat problem. Apparently ...

I became the owner of a new 700 on the 5th of January. It is a very good possibility that another Cat could be in the
stable in the near future!

The Goblin folks said they were going to do some speed testing early on
however I have never seen any data produced. Without this I would think it
is impossible to reliably determine if it is a performance enhancer.

"non-lycra"? You must have seen me riding. New yeller is up to about 50% done, so it's only a matter of time before I actually get to try the
headrest in action. First blog I've ever joined, or whatever you call it (I'm keeping the Luddite faith alive) -- good information, can't wait for
product number 2.

If you're going to have to take the front wheels off to put the kiddie wheels on, why bother with Step 2? Just stow it with the front wheels off. Also,
depending on the car, the rear wheel will fit between the front seats just fine. I can put either a Trail or an Expedition in my Prius that way, although I
have to remove the rear bag (on the Trail) or the rear rack (on the Expedition). I keep an ...
